I am honored to write a letter of recommendation for Leeah Michalides in conjunction with her
teaching application. Ms. Michalides is worthy of my highest recommendation, serving as her
supervisor for her student teaching practicum at Saint Francis University. Ms. Michalides was
responsible for the day to day operations of her first grade classroom alongside her cooperating teacher
Mrs. Henderson. To that end, she recognizes the importance of working collaboratively to plan for
engaging instruction and to meet the needs of all of her students.

In her pre-service teacher role, Ms. Michalides showed great rapport with her students and colleagues.
Ms. Michalides is easily understood by students, parents, and staff. She carries out responsibilities in a
timely and professional manner. She works well as a member of a team, as evidenced during her time
at Saint Francis University and at Westmont Hilltop School District. She planned meaningful
instruction that aligned to state standards and district curriculum. Ms. Michalides engaged her students
by using instructional strategies and best practices. She has worked with the reading specialists in her
building as well to utilize assessment data.

I truly believe that Ms. Michalides is an excellent candidate for a teaching position at your school. She
goes the extra mile to make sure students’ needs are being met and that learning occurs. In summary, I
