During this time, she taught in a regular education first grade classroom and instructed all subject areas. She has shown high levels of professionalism, teacher leadership, and adaptability Miss Michalides planned and delivered lessons that utilized grade-level curriculum and outside resources. Prior to the start of her placement, she willingly attended a two-day ECRI (Enhanced Core Reading Instruction) conference to better prepare herself for our curriculum, After one week of observations, she readily began leading instruction in various subject areas. Miss Michalides adapted instruction and materials to support all learners. She also conducted enrichment groups for students during Social Sciences. Miss Michalides created strong bonds with her students and established a learning environment in which all students felt valued and respected. She had cleat and high expectations forall her students. Miss Michalides implemented cheer cards and Whole Brain Teaching techniques to engage students in the learning process and manage behaviors. She manages her classroom with great skill and ease. Miss Michalides exhibited an impressive level of expertise in managing the challenges of a blended earning environment. She utilized technology and Zoom to teach leamers both at home and in the classroom. She quickly adapted to schedule changes and PDE requirements due to COVID-19.
