that is open on one end and closed on the olher end. The
closed end ofthe rube is inseftd inro thc threaded nipple.

Ballast replacement is not part ofthe UV unit's rcutiDe
maintenance. However, in the event that a ba.llast needs to
be replaced the followi4 procedure should be fonowed:

1. Power down the UV unit. Ifnot, ensure that powe. to the


unit is removed by opening tho switch or breaker
upsteam ofthe lry lmit.
2 Locate the old ballast to be repla.ed. Reler to the
electrical diagram, if necessary.

3. Isolate &e old balast nom rcst of systgm by discormeot-

4 Using 5/32 Lshaped hex rrrench completely rcmove


the bolt securing the ballast to the sub panel. Put the
bolt aside.
5. Remove the old ballast by pulling it towards you.

7. Tighten the bolt with 5/32 L-shaped hex rlryench.
