METEOROLOGY AND ASTRONOMY LINK

1. Aside from Earth, what other planets have atmosphere?

There are 6 other planets that has significant atmospheres. Namely: Venus, Mars,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

2. What are the effects of having an atmosphere?

There’ll be a reduction of solar radiation due to the absorption and reflection in the
atmosphere. That’s why it is also capable of protecting the Earth from the Sun’s
excessive ultraviolet rays. In Earth, the atmosphere also acts as a blanket that keeps
our temperature warmer. Without the atmosphere the Earth would be freezing cold.
On the other hand, it could also cause negative effects such as the occurance of
natural catastrophes due to the phenomenas in the atmosphere. For example:
lightning and thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding and many more.

3. What is the planet without atmosphere?

Mercury is the only planet without atmosphere. Although it has what is known as
exosphere where gasses are captured from solar wind and releases it in the planet’s
surface.

4. What are the effects of not having an atmosphere?

The solar radiation would break atmospheric water into oxygen that would react
with the carbon on Earth to form carbon dioxide. By then, the air would be too thin
to breathe. It would also cause the rapid decrease of the Earth’s temperature
causing it to chill the planet’s surface.

Airdog X5 Air Purifier are made for your allergies.

- It combats the indoor air pollutants found everywhere. It is an
optimized, aerodynamic design that enabled high volume airflows
which means you air gets cleaner, faster, in a quiet way. It cleans
smaller particles than any of the more classic air purifiers without
consumables. It only indicates that there’ll be less indoor pollutants
will find their way into our lungs.
- The common components of an Air Purifier are:

HEPA FILTERS – They are made out of very fine glass threads
that are tangled together and compressed to form a filter mat. Its
function is to collect particles.

ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATORS – It relies on electrostatic

forcees to remove the particles from the air. It works by creating a
cloud of free electrons through which dust particles are forced to
pass. The function of electrostatic perpetrators are also to collect
particles down to a diameter of microns.

- Here’s the alternative materials to purify the air that could be

found at home:

1. Beeswax Candles
Beeswax candles act as natural air purifiers. It ionise the air and neutralize the toxic
compounds and other contaminants.
2.  Salt Lamps
A salt lamp is another great natural air purifier. Salt crystal products tend to reduce airborne
irritants, pathogens and allergens by pulling water vapour out of the air.
