professions in the world, it solves complex AB engineering problems and creates unique ideas
that will benefit the entire community. Based on the five (5) graduates that have been
interviewed, their current job are aligned in the field of AB engineering, yet it needs to exert
great endeavor and lot of time in order to find a career that will certainly apply and develop the
fundamental principles and knowledge that they have gained throughout the entire college years
in the field of ABE. Based on the five respondents they encountered competitions in other
engineering fields, instead of AB engineer are being employed in that position, they
acknowledged other engineering fields in that kind of work position. Respondents stated that the
ABE field is lack of recognition and appreciation in the country, though there is a law, the R.A
10915 (an act strengthen, modernizing and aligning the practice of ABE in the country into
internationally recognized) still that is not sufficient to be known the ABE profession in different
variation of workplace. On the other hand, the rapid growth of population is one of the most
challenging parts in the field of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering, as it increases its
number, the agricultural land is being converted into industrial and residential areas, which
incline to decrease the productivity of the farm products that can lead to the market scarcity, as
one of the scopes of ABE is to uphold the food security, the farm productivity must be increased
exponentially to meet the day-to-day necessities of every individual, using the modern
technologies, machineries, and equipment’s are very significant to sustain the farm power.
Based on the information gathered, most of the graduates of AB engineer at the age of
45 above now, are experiencing struggles in looking for a job, because employer mostly
chooses the age at 20-30, which sometimes tends to lose their enthusiasm in the field of ABE.
At the end, Agricultural and Biosystems engineers are have unique knowledge of
mathematics, biological and physical sciences, and engineering principles to solve problems
relating to the production, handling, and processing of biological materials for food, feed, fiber
and fuel; the preservation of natural resources and environment quality; and the design and
production of machine systems. It can serve a broad range of career interests and can provide
excellent career opportunities for everyone from diverse backgrounds. ABE is not just a
profession or a work instead it stands at the crossroads of the past and the future with a heavy
