AGREEEMENT FOR USING SOFTWARE TELEPHONE BILLING SYSTEM


WINDOWS

This is the legal agreement between Producer of dYNAMITE® with you as a user of this
software. By opening the seal of the package, you are assume to be agreed the terms below :

Single User
You agree to use this software at one computer only and not running it at multi-user networking.
Multi User
You agree if this software used at the multi-user networking, then you must using the software
license for second user and so on.
Copyright
You are agree not to multiplying the original disk and selling it in any reasons or purpose.
Modifying
You are agree not to modify any contents of this software, manual book, or other documentation,
without the written permission from the Producer.

This Agreement will valid from the date you open the seal of the package until the time you won’t
using this software anymore.

30 Days Money Back Guarantee only valid if the package is still complete and good condition. And
can be re-sell.

In 30 days since the date of the purchase, you will get the right to get the replacement software, if it
damage, by sending the damage software first.

The Producer is not responsible for any causes that occur because the requirements for using this
software were not fulfilled, mis-operation, human error, etc.

The Producer guarantee that this software is free from usage limit. So, as long as the original disk
is good, you can use this software at anytime.

ORIGINAL DISK DAMAGE

Because of some causes, such as bad / dirty floppy disk drive or computer virus, the original disk
could be damage and can’t work properly anymore. So:

1. If the damage were occur in the time less than one year since the date of the purchase, you will
get the replacement disk free of charge by sending the damage disk to the producer first.
(Expedition Fee were charged to you)
2. If the damage were occur in the time more than one year since the date of the purchase, you
will get the replacement disk with additional charge.
3. The Replacement Original Disk will be send to you if the producer already receive the old one
which is damage. If you don’t sending the damage disk first, we won’t give any replacement
disk to you.

Between Producer, Dealer, and Customer


Each Dealer will get some special facility such as:
 Term of payment
 Technical support
 Training

Each Dealer could make any agreement with their customers, so the producer doesn’t have any
direct responsibility to the customers.

Each customer could get free explanation or guidance from the producer everything that refer to
this software Telephone Billing System.

As the producer, we granted ‘the rule of the game’ to selling this product to Dealer and Customer.

The Customer who wants to get the same facility and price as the Dealer won’t get any service from
us.

INSTALLATION
Telephone Billing System dYNAMITE® consist of 3 disks:
- Disk #1 and #2 are Setup Disks
- Disk #3 is Program Disk

ATTENTION!!!
For Windows 98, the minimum color depth must be 256 colors. (see page 36)

 Insert disk #1 to drive A

 Move the mouse pointer to [Start], Click once, move mouse pointer to Menu [Run],
Click once, and will appear as follows:

 Type A:\Setup
 Click OK

 After that will appear Welcome message, which will start installation process.
Click [Next]
Note: To abort the installation click [Cancel].

 User Information : fill in the information. Click [Next] to continue

 Choose Destination Location click [Next] to continue.

 Select Program Folder : standard is dyna302, click [Next] to continue.

Setup Complete :
Installation finished. Click once on [Yes, Launch the program file] until appear 
in the box. Click [Finish] to launch dYNAMITE® .

Note: If after press [Finish] dYNAMITE® were not appearing, try to run it
through [START]-[PROGRAM]-[StartUP]-NTSMDR.

SETUP PROGRAM
Log In first, through File – Log In
Default Supervisor Password : 1

Parameter Setting:
Parameter Setting is used to change Serial Port Configuration and change Format
Configuration data serial from PABX.

WARNING!!!
Don’t change any data in Parameter Setting, if you don’t know the Serial Port
Configuration and change Format Configuration data serial from PABX, it will cause
the data from PABX does not receive!

Setup Port Serial:


 COM Port:
Serial Port. dYNAMITE® could use serial port 1-4(COM1 to COM4). Click at the
serial port you use.
If serial port is usable, on Status Bar shown connected, if serial port is already
used by another program or could not open, on Status Bar shown Error could not
connect. Check COM Port setting and try again.

 Baud Rate:
Is the speed of sending data serial, choose baudrate which same as program
PABX/ key telephone.

 Parity:
Is the checking data serial of bit 1 or bit 0. Choose parity which same as program
PABX/ key telephone.

 Data bit:
Is the length of one character data. Choose Data bit which same as program
PABX/ key telephone.

 Stop bit:
Is the bit which mark the end of a data. Choose Stop bit which same as program
PABX/ key telephone.

 End of Line Char:


Is the end character that PABX/ Key telephone sends.
End of Line Char:
10 : for mostly PABX/ key telephone
13 : for Samsung COREX
03 : for NEC

 Handshaking
Is the Handshaking used in serial communication.
Handshaking:
 None: for mostly PABX
 RTS/CTS: hardware handshaking, use for NEC, Siemens, NT.
 XON/XOF: Software Handshaking
 RTS/CTS + XON/XOF: Hardware & Software Handshaking.

After finish setting serial port configuration, click [Disconnect] and then click
[Connect]. Program parameter setting is ready to receive data from PABX. Try to
make an outgoing call, until on the white box below [receive] appear one row of data.

 If after you hang up the phone and data from PABX still doesn’t appear, check
PABX program, serial cable connection, Card Serial on PC, Card Serial on PABX.
You can use Tester RS-232 to check the connection between PABX and PC.
 Look at the Status Bar on the box below, must be shown ‘connected’. If shown
‘Error could not connect. Check COM Port setting and try again’ it means that
serial port has already use by another program or does not exist, try to change
serial port.
 If on the Status Bar shown ‘The hardware detected a framing error’ or ‘The
hardware detected a parity error’ it means that baudrate, databit, parity,
stopbit is still not correct.

Setup Data Configuration SMDR PABX:


Each type of PABX / key telephone, has an own format SMDR. Telephone Billing
System must be set to known each field data SMDR from PBX/ key telephone.

It shown above that each type of PABX / key telephone has its own data
position. On Parameter Setting, formats that need to be change are:
 Month : Position & Length of Month Data. Fill in Length = 0 if you want to use the
time from the computer.
Attention!!!
For the month before October (10), first 0 (zero) is usually not appear. Fill in
Month Position on first data!
 Date : Position & Length of date data. Fill in Length = 0 if you want to use the
time from the computer.

For time before 12 o’clock, first 0 (zero) usually doesn’t appear. Fill in time position
from the first data!

 Extension : Position & Length of Extension.


 Trunk : Position & Length of Telephone Line.
 CD : Position, Length & Format Code Transfer. Just blank if it not necessary.
 Call Type : Position & Length Code Incoming Call/ Code Intercom/Internal Call.
Fill in Format Code Incoming on Incoming Code box.
Fill in Format Code Intercom/ Internal Call on Intercom box.
ATTENTION!!!
Format Code Incoming & Code Intercom must be filled if the SMDR sending
them! For example format Code Incoming is << INCOMING >>. Format Code
Intercom is INT.

 Dial : Position & Length Dial Number
 Duration : Position , Length & Format Duration
Several formats of duration, which can be use without type in duration format
column, are:
HH:MM:SS
Duration Formats:
1. H : Hour
2. M : Minute
3. S : Second
4. T : 10 seconds

ATTENTION!!!
For Panasonic A-Series: Duration Format is HH:MM:SS, A-Series doesn’t show
Hour & Minute data if the outgoing call were below 60 seconds. So, the position
of Duration must be predicted from the first position of hour.
For A-Series, Duration position=50

 Account : Position & Length of Account Code


 SMDR Length : The Length of one row Data SMDR.
SMDR Length is minimum length of data which were capture and assume valid for
the program. If the Length of SMDR data from PABX is less than SMDR Length,
the data will be assumed invalid by the program.
ATTENTION!!!
Please check that the minimum length of data SMDR has many different kinds.
Fill in SMDR Length with correct position of the end of one row Data SMDR.
 Data Type : Position & Length line Data (ISDN)
Fill in Format Data Type on Data Type Code box.
Example for PABX Siemens, Data Type Code is DTE

Fill in Format Data SMDR

Position Length Format Receive Box

Fill in Position, Length, and Format :


1. For fill in position & length Start Date. Click once at the circle left side of Start
Date until in has a dot in it ().
2. Click Mouse on the first position of start date at Receive Box. Left-Click once
mouse and release it (don’t drag), and then move the mouse pointer to end
numeric of start date data. Press down and hold [Shift] button on keyboard, and
Left-Click mouse once again at the end numeric, release the click and [Shift].
Program will automatically fill in the position and length of start date. You just
need to adjust the format of start date.

Repeat step 1 and 2 for the others field.
3. For adjusting format, click once mouse at format box field and fill in the format
as same as the data format that is in receive box.

Saving Data Parameter Setting:


The Data in Parameter Setting must be saved. Click [Save] button to save the setting
you already done.

To quit from parameter setting, click [QUIT] button or [X] button on the right top
screen.

After that the program is ready to receive data from PABX. Click View-Maximized
to see the record that already captured.

1. Top : to move the cursor to the first record (data).


2. Previous : to move the cursor to the previous record.
3. Next : to move the cursor to the next record.
4. Bottom : to move the cursor to the last record (data).
5. Add : to add a new record.
6. Delete : to delete the record in current position.
7. Edit : to edit the record in the current position.
8. Save : to save all the record you have filled. If you move to another record, the
data will automatically saved.
9. Cancel : to cancel the data that already edited.
10. Refresh : to refresh all the data, if there are any modifications.

Setup Extension

Setup Extension:
Setup for extension list at PABX.

Fields available on Database extension:


1. Ext : Extension Number
2. Name : Extension Name
3. Division : Division, such as Marketing, HRD, Finance, etc
4. Account : Account Code. If you are not using it, just let it blank.
5. Ratemul : the cost multiplier from standard cost on each call. If you want to
mark-up the cost on one ext, for example 50%, Fill in RateMul = 1.5 on the
current extension.
6. Admin : the cost addition from standard cost on each call. If you want to mark-
up the cost on one ext, fill in the value you want to be added on the current
extension. If you don’t want to use this field, just fill 0 (zero).
7. Hide : Fill in False if the extension will be monitoring on the report. Fill in True if
the extension won’t be monitoring on the report. Look at the Report Setting at
EXTHide.
8. Tenant : If one PABX/ key telephone is use by more than one company, fill in
tenant code refer to the Database-Tenant. Look at Tenant setting to fill in the
code.
9. Room : Room Number, working on hotel version. Fill in the room number at this
field
10. Guest : Ext Status, True or False, working on hotel version.
11. Operator : False = usual extension. True as a mark that the current extension as

For example extension 20 request the operator to call 5659439. So, the
operator could charge that call to extension 20 by dialing 5659439*20.
12. Auto Print
Automatically print a bill if there is any outgoing call from certain extension. Fill
A for autoprint all call, I for International call only, S for Long Distance and
International call. This facility only working if the Guest Field were filled True.

Setup Tenant
If in one PABX is used by more than one Tenant / Company, so the report can be
grouping by tenant.
Fields available:
 Code : Tenant Code.
 Name : Tenant Name.

Setup Line
Line Number Setup
Fields available:
1. Number : Trunk Code from SMDR.
2. Name : The Line Number
3. CO Type : Fill In CO if the line is directly to the telephone line. Fill in PBX if the
line is connected to other PABX/ key telephone.
4. CO Access : For the line connected to PABX / key telephone, fill in Access CO to
make an outgoing call from the PABX/ Key telephone.
5. Calculated : Fill in True if outgoing calls from that line want to be calculated. Fill
in False if outgoing calls from that line doesn’t want to be calculated. (The Data
will not be saved on database!)

Setup Zone
Setup Zone is used to modify the cost, pulse, reduction time, etc, if there is any
change of the telephone cost from the public telephone company.
The steps for setup zone:
1. Choose the setup you wish to set by clicking the zone type (local, long distance,
IDD, Handphone, Special Call, Intercom, Data).

2. To set the telephone rate in your local area, change the value in the field
duration and cost at column Discount Rate.

Fields available at Cost Table:


1. Call Code : call type code. (0=local, 1=long distance, 2=idd, 3=Handphone,
5=Special Call, 6=Intercom, 7=Data)
2. Code : prefix number code
3. Name : destination name
4. Zone : zone, refer to the zone at discount rate table

Fields available at Discount Rate Table:


1. Call Code : call type code. (0=local, 1=long distance, 2=idd, 3=Handphone,

3. Discount Code : Days, 0=reguler, 1-7=Sunday - Saturday, 8= holidays.
4. 0-23 : Reduction Hour
5. Duration : the length of duration in seconds for one pulse
6. Cost : the rate of the one pulse

Setup Holidays
Fields available at setup holidays:
1. Date : fill in the date as a holiday in format mm/dd/yy
2. Description : Holiday name

Setup Phonebooks
Use to change a destination call with company name or personal name. This Setup also
useful for classifying the destination calls, whether the call is for company purpose
or private purpose. The phone number that is not in this list will be classified as the
private call. Phonebooks facility is very useful for monitoring how many private call
and company call in your office.

for private purpose.

Setup Password
Password Level is divide in three kinds:
1. Level 1 : Only has access to Print Lines, Phone Books & Holiday
(Default Password = LVL1)
2. Level 5 : Only has access to Fill In Phonebooks, Print Menu, and printing a report.
(Default Password = LVL5)
3. Level 10: Supervisor Level, has access to all menu.
(Default Password = 1)

Fields available at password:


1. Password : Password Code
2. Name : Name of the user (please don’t change the name that already filled)
3. Level : Level (please don’t change the value in this filed)

Setup Parameter
Use to change name, address, and telephone number of the company who use this
program. And also to set the delay duration / Minimum duration for local, long
distance, and IDD.

 Mostly the PBX’s couldn’t detect whether an outgoing call is successful or not,
PABX only detect that somebody has establish an outgoing call at sometime.
To solve that problem, the program will detect an outgoing call is successful or
not by minimum duration method. Telephone billing system dYNAMITE® could
determine minimum duration for local, long distance, and IDD.

 For the PABX that could detect the succession of an outgoing call, on minimum
duration fill in 0 (zero).

Filter
Filter is use to make a report by searching a record at certain aspect :
1. Duration : search the records which over certain duration.

2. Phone Number : search the records which over certain destination calls.
Example :
For searching destination calls which prefix 565, fill in 565%.
For searching destination calls which suffix 39, fill in %39.
For searching destination calls which consist 94, fill in %94%.
3. Cost : search the records which over certain cost.
4. Time : search the records which over certain time. This filter is useful for
monitoring the telephone usage after office hour.

How to create a report :


 Total report for each Extension in a month.
1. Click the circle on the left side of extension.
2. Choose Extension number you want to report, in From, To as a range to print
the report. For print the entire extension just let it blank.
3. Fill in the range date in From, To. Default date is today.
4. Fill in the date can be seen on page 39.
5. Fill in the Start Hour and End Hour if you want. If not, just let it.
6. Fill in the Tenant you want to print. For print the entire tenant just let it
blank.
7. At Call Type, click the circle on the left-side of Outgoing.
8. On Report Type, click the circle on the left-side of Summary.
9. After that click Preview button to see on-screen the Print Result.
Buttons on preview screen can be seen on page 38. Or click Print button to
directly print to the printer.

 Extension Detail Report in a month.


The way is the same as above, only at point 8 (Report Type), click the circle on
the left-side of Detail.

 Total Report for each Extension in a month which over 30 minutes duration.

MAINTENANCE
Recalculate
Use for recalculating the record that already captured.
Recalculate is need to use if there is any changes at :
 Setting Extension
 Setting Zone
 Setting Holiday
 Setting Phone Books
Fill in the start date and end date. Then click [OK] to start or [CANCEL] to abort.

Restore From Text File


Use for restore the data from raw data.
Restore From Text File is use if there is an error in database that couldn’t be
repaired anymore. To solve this problem, remove / uninstall the program first, then
install the program again. Do restore from text file to get the old record.

Edit Table
Use for editing / modifying the record of telephone billing system. The buttons
available can be seen at page 26.

Backup
Use for backup table data form Start Date until End Date to the destination table.
To fill in the date can be seen on page 39.

To do the backup.
 Fill in the start date, or click on the triangle on the right-side.

 First way: Fill / Type in the date you want to. The Format of date is MM/DD/YY.
 Second way: Click a triangle button at the right side of DATE box, then choose
the date you want to.

Resolution Setting at Windows 98:

 Click [Start]-[Settings]-[Control Panel].


 When Control Panel window appear, double-click on icon Display.
 Click Setting, and choose the colour depth you want to use (min 256 colour).
