The story of Abraham

Abraham and his wife are getting old and prayed to god to have a child. God heard their prayers and
gave them a son, Abraham named the child Isaac. Many years passed, Abraham thought Isaac
everything he knows about life and especially about worshiping God.

And one day, God tested his faith and visited him in the middle of the night and said.. "Abraham, do you
love me?". He answered.. "There is no other thing that I love most but you my God.", and God gave him
a very difficult task and it is to kill his son when the sun stops rising in order to prove his faith to God.

The next morning, Abraham prepared food and water for the long journey to Moriah and told his son to
join him in a sacrificial activity. But little did Isaac know that he is the one that will be sacrificed to
complete God's given task to Abraham.

When they're already at the topmost of the mountain, Abraham and his son, Isaac built an altar to
perform the sacrificial activity. both of them cried in such tears for their love for each other and because
of their love for God, Abraham raised his hand with a very sharp knife while Isaac is lying down on the
altar then suddenly, A light from heaven shines upon them and heard a very loud voice said,. Abraham,
you passed the task and proved yourself that you really love me with all your heart. There's no need for
you to end your son's life because he is your descendant that will continue my promises with you.

God made a promise to Abraham:

"I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;

I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you will curse;

and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:2-3)

From Abraham to Isaac, From Isaac to Jacob, From Jacob to Levi, From Levi to Kohath, From Kohath to
Amram, And from Amram to Moses, A new story begins.
In Egypt, A ruthless Pharoah received a prophecy that one day a firstborn Hebrew baby will rise and
challenge the rulers of their land. The ruthless Pharoah ordered his army to kill every firstborn Hebrew
baby outside his kingdom to break the prophecy.

On that day, a special baby named Moses was protected and kept hidden for three months and placed
in a little boat on the banks of the Nile river. (Exodus 2:2)

The baby didn't stay there long before being rescued by the Pharoah's daughter. being unable to nurse
him, she hired a Hebrew woman to do this job. This woman just happened to be Moses' mother/

Many years passed, Moses, grew up in the place and called excommunicate because of a murder. Moses
was deserted in the middle of the desert until he found his wife.

One day, Moses climbed a mountain called Mountain of God and accidentally caught up to a very strong
storm and hit his head to a stone. When he woke up, a burning tree is in front of him and gave him a
task that is very difficult.

God wanted Moses to rescue the Israelites from Egypt. Moses was afraid and gave excuse after excuse,
one being that he stuttered. Moses told God, "Please send someone else" (Exodus 4:13). God Didn't
want to send someone else and got angry with Moses.

To overcome Moses' fear, God recruited his brother Aaron to assist, promising to help them both.
Moses rose to the challenge. Through the long story of the 10 plagues and the Pharoah's opposition; he
led the Israelites out of Egypt.

When trapped between the Pharoah- who'd changed his mind and pursued the newly freed slaves and
the Red Sea, Moses told the people." Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the
LORD will bring you today" (Exodus 14:13).

He also prophesied, "The Egyptians you see today you will never see again..." (Exodus 14:13), and he
was right. Moses led them through the Red Sea on dry ground by the power of God. That was just the
beginning of Moses' courageous leadership.
The job called Moses to do was full of difficulties and challenges. Moses never hid his emotions and
question from God. they spent 40 days together on top of Mount Sinai and God gave Moses "...the two
tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God" (Exodus 31:18).

Meanwhile, the people got tired of waiting for Moses, made an idol, and started worshiping it. This
made God angry, and he offered to kill them all, making Moses into a great nation instead. "But Moses
sought the favor of the LORD his God" (Exodus 32:11) God heard Moses and didn't act on his emotions.

In response to Moses' request to see God's glory, he saw parts of God no one ever had before. "And
passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, 'The LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger,
abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion, and
sin..." (Exodus 34:6-7).

For 40 years Moses led the Israelites, and God kept His promise to always be with him Even when Moses
messed up, due to his anger, which disallowed him from entering the promised land. The Bible says
Moses "whom the Lord knew face to face" (Deuteronomy 34:10).

God was with Moses to the very end, burying him in secret. Moses lived to be 120 years old and was
completely healthy. "...his eyes were not weak, nor his strength gone" (Deuteronomy 34:7). The people
grieved 30 days for him until God put a stop to it, instructing Joshua to take the leadership position.

'And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said. He buried him in Moab,
in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is" (Deuteronomy 34:5-
6).

It's speculated that God secretly buried Moses' body so the Israelites couldn't make a shrine to it,
worshiping it as an idol. That may be true or it might be God burying his friend. Only God knows..
