Talk to two different companies in your community.

Find out:
1) what type of information they need to disclose to the public according to the law and when,
2) when do they prepare the financial statements,
3) which body approves the statements,
4) do they publish the financial statements, if so when,
5) do they submit the financial statements to certain institutions, if so, to which institutions and
when,
6) according to which standards do they prepare the financial statements,
7) do they use at the moment, or have they used in the past promissory notes, if so for what (if
possible make them show you one).

Prepare double-spaced, Arial 11 point font, report containing:

a. Full name, address and short general info about the companies
b. Name and position of the person with whom you spoke from each company
c. Work phone number for each person you spoke with
d. Answers to the above questions for the two companies
e. A paragraph stating your experience in this project or your personal opinion about the
companies.
