Ground wave - up to 2 MHz

Ionospheric - 30-80 MHz

Line of sight also called space wave or tropospheric propogation.

    Example –FM radio, Microwave and satellite.

Microwave

Must be in visible contact with the radio station.

Within 50 km.

Repeater station must be placed so that the signal can travel farther than the limit distance.

Satellite

Geo-stationary orbit directly over the equator, which rotates in synchronization to earth and hence looks
stationary from any point on the earth.

Earth station for receiving and transmitting data which may uplink or downlink.
