Reading news is as crucial as reading book in view of its significant convenience. These

days, people’s need of information starts to extend. It is not only a temporary need, but it has

also been a continual and regular need. Kinds of information; from entertainment, economics,

business, politic, science, to the trivial matters; become public consumption. Through the

availability of news, people can broaden their insight, perceive their both dignity and role in

sociality; also can realize what happens in surrounding.

News itself focuses on the construction of reality of which the realization uses the varieties of

languages which have been deliberated, so that the language can play the esential role to

conceive public opinion. Unfortunately, there is a problem regarding the news which reported

on mass media.. It is not rare that news remain less objective than the reality. Beside that, the

limitation of the exploration of the data and fact that is attached in the report makes it become

friction, which means either its is a fact that have been contaminated with opinion and

subjectivity of the news writer or it can be a fact that have been manipulated by certain sides

for the sake of their definite intentions.

In conclusion, these matters, then, create firm public opinion towards the case which is

reported, either it is a positive estimation as a positive image hegemony that is posted on

mass media or establishment of public opinion towards the report. Positive image which is

not relevant to the truth leads to misstatement to the public. Whether it is a good news or a

bad news, the key is presenting the news which can provide the case description as objecive

as possible so that the tendency of people’s negative opinions is essentially reliable to the

fact, also they can be controlled and amenable.
