 Stereotypes are simple generalizations about groups of people that can be based on race,
ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation and any other characteristic that an individual have
and shared with others. They may be positive but are often negative . In either case, the
stereotype is a generalization that doesn’t take individual differences into account.
Gender Profiling
There are also some common stereotypes of men and women, such as:
Men are strong and do all the work.
Women aren't as smart as a man.
Women can't do as good of a job as a man.
Girls are not good at sports.

Cultures

Stereotypes also exist about cultures an countries as a whole. Stereotype examples of this sort include
the premises that:

Mexican stereotypes suggest that all Mexicans are lazy and came into America illegally.

All Arabs and Muslims are terrorists.

All Blacks outside of the United States are poor.

All Asians are good at math. All Asians like to eat rice and drive slow.

Sexual Stereotypes

Sexual stereotypes, on the other hand, suggest that any feminine man is gay and any masculine woman
is a lesbian. Those who believe gay stereotypes may also believe that homosexuality is immoral, wrong
and an abomination.

Groups of Individuals

A different type of stereotype also involves grouping of individuals. Skaters, Goths, Gangsters, and Preps
are a few examples. Most of this stereotyping is taking place in schools.
 Prejudice refers to biased thinking, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and attitudes someone holds
about a group. A prejudice is not based on experience; instead, it is a prejudgment, originating
outside actual experience.
1. Racism is a stronger type of prejudice used to justify the belief that one racial category is somehow
superior or inferior to others; it is also a set of practices used by a racial majority to disadvantage a
racial minority.
2. racism refers to the way in which racism is embedded in the fabric of society. For example, the
disproportionate number of black men arrested, charged, and convicted of crimes may reflect racial
profiling, a form of institutional racism.
3. is another kind of prejudice, in which someone believes one type of skin tone is superior or inferior
to another within a racial group. Studies suggest that darker skinned African Americans experience
more discrimination than lighter skinned African Americans (Herring, Keith, and Horton 2004;
Klonoff and Landrine 2000).

 Discrimination consists of actions against a group of people. Discrimination can be based on age,
religion, health, and other indicators; race-based laws against discrimination strive to address
this set of social problems.

Survivor-victim-penetrator

A girl age 14 was married of with a 78 yrs old man that bribe her family for him to take her away and
sleep with him,he abuse her and strip her dignity ,freedom and made her his prisoner but after so many
years she was able to escape her miserable life with him and fight for her right to live according to her
desired path and made him put in jail to serve his sentence. The girl become a woman that still have a
fear with her, fear that someoneight take advantage and hurt her again but then she still strive to live as
a survivor from her past even if she would have a life time trauma to deal with.

The penetrator should face the consequences of his actions, for taking advantage the suffering of the
child and her family,he find them weak and thought that he can play them as long as he want.He have
prejudice with that kind of life but it leads to his life time suffering.

A vital part of understanding a social problem, and a precursor to preventing it, is an understanding of
what causes it.The negative attitude towards woman and girls also pave the weight or abused even if
they considered a part of their culture because it leaves lifetime emotional scars to the victims and
survivors of this gender-based violence, those nightmares well hunt the victims down and will
forever.Gender-based violence threatens women’s health worldwide adding to the global burden of
diseases and social trauma.
