Reflection
My reflection about the life of Emily Dickinson is that her precious poems are her form of expression and
escape from the things that troubled her during her time, her life thought me that it is not bad to escape
and be secluded from those troubles and create my comport zone to express my ideas and questions
because it's a form of self love and my age doesn't limit us to be worthy and productive and continue to
be inspiration even our life is not forever. She prove to me that living a life of simplicity and seclusion, is
not a hindrance to wrote poetry of great power; questioning the nature of immortality and death, with
at times an almost mantric quality. Her different lifestyle created an aura; often romanticised, and
frequently a source of interest and speculation, but ultimately Emily Dickinson is remembered for her
unique poetry. Within short, compact phrases she expressed far-reaching ideas; and uncertainty, her
poetry has an undeniable capacity to move and provoke her reader even though her works doesn't tend
to be publish and be forever be in their keepsake.Dickinson was the exception in her society and her
seclusion and intelligence distance her from society and fostered rumors of madness. Using the
assertion that private, intelligent women are insane, however Emily is a woman with an independent
mind flippantly defends madness. Her prescription for those who are not ostensibly mad is caution and
restraints because demur women are the real danger, this thought me that I should speak my mind
because women should not always be dictated by our patriar society. Her life is truely exceptional and
inspiring that why her poems soon received extraordinary praise from leading magazines and
newspapers. The New York Times claimed Emily Dickinson would soon be known amongst the immortals
of English speaking poets.
