Tourism in recent years is one of the principal areas that help in the economy of a country,
although at this time due to the pandemic isn’t the best time to travel or know other
countries, this doesn’t imply that some families or travelers visit another country, and of
the same way after this pandemic tourism will continue to grow exponentially as it had
been doing.
For example a country like Colombia our country, where in most of the country we have a
tropical climate where we haven’t seasons, where we have some of the most beautiful
landscapes without mentioning that Colombia also distinguishes itself internationally as
the host of the world economic forum for Latin America (Cartagena de Indias 2010), and
what most characterizes the country is our great biological diversity.
One of the ways in which engineering has server in the field of travel and tourism, is
through of the infrastructure that has to be developed to reach to the places of natural or
cultural interest, where for the passage of transport for travel must be considered if these
are roadways, viaducts, highways, etc., may be airports for air traffic or ports for maritime
transit, or railway transit stations, talking properly about the displacement of the
population to the places of tourist interest.
Now, speaking about the tourist sites specifically, It’s important to mention that in order
to adapt these places where a big part of the floating population converges, which don’t
like these sites, It’s necessary to realize an study of the scaffold to use in the
infrastructure, to comply not only with the approach of enjoyment or pleasure, but also
with regard to the safety of tourist, therefore, we are talking about necessary resources at
the level of labor, infrastructure and technology placed at the service of one of the
important economic activities in the development of a country.
