Hand washing devices refill and Latrine clean:

Its big challenges for us to ensure water into hand washing devices and keep clean all latrine by
community engagement but we are trying to overcome these challenges

How to overcome:

 First of all we did talk with latrine user group

 Conduct community consultation meeting
 Increase communication with community leader and religious leaders
 Make schedule by consultation with community for every latrine to ensure water into HWD
and keep clean latrine and bathhouse
 Quick response on their facilities related feedback it helped us to make good relationship
with them
 One to one and tea-stall discussion with community people regarding the WASH services of
NGO Forum and the community engagement.
 Organize need based meeting with the respective community and discuss about the
importance of user engagement, Discuss the problems and provable solutions in this
meeting
 Discussed with the user group member during user group meeting (Need based) about the
responsibility of the members
 Provide logistic supports to each user group as per their demand
 Proper instruction given to the user group member on how to use these materials

Unsafe water sources and AWD risk:

It’s another big challenge for us to stop this kind of water source but we are trying to overcome this
challenge

 Identified all unsafe water source of camp-26 by assessment

 Conduct training with water user group leader to ensure WSP at every water point
 Regular consultation meeting with water user group/Change maker group/ Block leader and
religious leaders
 Religious leader announce about the risk of AWD at Mosque after every prayers and
motivate people to avoid to drink and use water of unsafe water source
 Check WSP at every household visit and tap stand visit
 Marked all jar which is used for storage the drinking water for easily identified drinking
water
 Activation all water user group and they are visiting tap stand and unsafe water source
during water supply
 Distributing aqua tab and demonstrating the use of aqua tab to unsafe water source user
 Make an action plan with water user group/change maker group/block leader to prevent
AWD
 Change maker group and model mother are conducting HH visit to motivate other
community people for avoiding drinking
 Our staff, HPV and Change maker group members are taking feedback of the use of aqua tab
via visiting their household.
