National Security Guide Questions

1. What comes to your mind when you hear the phrase "national security"?
This phrase is no longer new to me because as far as I can remember I’ve already heard
this on one of a TV series I’ve watch and for me when I hear this phrase the thought that crossed
to my mind is that it secures the nation in possible threat that may come and it is the duty of the
government to protect the well-being of its citizens of the country.
2. Useful terminologies to define:
a. National Security
- Is the requirement to maintain the survival of the nation-state through the use of
economic, military and political power and the exercise of diplomacy.
b. Human Security
- Defined as freedom from fear and freedom from want” It is a prerequisite for human
development, which is the goal of development cooperation.
c. Ecological Security
- Defined as mankind's ensure degree un-effected by ecological destroy and
environmental pollution in yield, living and health, including basic element of water and food
security, air quality and green environment.
f. Propaganda
- A mode of communication used to manipulate or influence the opinion of groups to
support a particular cause or belief.
g. Infiltration
- The process by which precipitation or water soaks into subsurface soils and moves into
rocks through cracks and pore spaces.

h. Politics
- Is the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other
forms of power relations between individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status
i. Communism
- An economic ideology that advocates for a classless society in which all property and
wealth is communally-owned, instead of by individuals

- I think terrorism

The natural & man-made threats that may affect the school or the whole community where the
school is located are: Earthquakes, Fire, Typhoon, Bomb Threats, and Campus Violence.
