HISTORY OF HIGHWAYS

During the ancient times, when people were not yet civilized and were still divided into small groups,
these small groups, for them to survive, they hunt for food and resources.

Since it was the primitive age, they would walk a lot to go to places where they can find what they need.

As they walk often from home to different places through time, a path is eventually created by the
people. WALKWAYS

As people get civilized, these paths are further improved into roads.

And when people learn about trading, they started creating roads that connects different places or
towns. This type of road is called Highway.

Basically, Highway is defined as a main way or road that connects towns to another town, municipal or
city.

IMPORTANCE OF ROADS AND HIGHWAYS IN URBAN AND RURAL AREA

Roads and Highways are both form of infrastructure that provides convenience or (facilitates) the
mobility of people from one place to another place.

All people who use roads and highways have different agendas.

Some people are traveling to transport products, raw or finished.

Some people are traveling to go to different places to get entertained. For example, going to another
city that has a mall to watch movies in cinema, or have a date with someone.

Basically,

Without roads and highways, our economy will never be on the same level as it is now. It wont reach
closely, rather, there is a big discrepancy
