SFF time P-ATX v0.

1 manual

Dear customer,

Thank you for purchasing SFF time P-ATX case. Please read full compatibility list before assembling your PC. You can find it on sfftime.com.
If you have any doubts about choosing your components, or steps in this manual, please contact us via email on info@sfftime.com, and we will
be glad to assist you.

Important notes:
- always use the correct screwdriver tip for corresponding bolts (PH1 or PH2)
- always use the correct bolt type
- do not overtight the bolts
- do not force the components in, each component should be installed without using excessive force

1. Installing the motherboard (ATX, m-ITX, e-ATX, m-DTX)

- prepare the motherboard by installing cpu, ram,


m.2 drives, and cpu air cooler if using one
- install the IO shield
- align the motherboard on the standoffs
- screw the motherboard down using provided bolts
- after installing the motherboard, connect internal
USB 3.0 cable, and power switch and power LED
connectors like shown in the following diagram:

2. Installing the motherboard (m-ATX)

- follow the instructions from step no.1,


and in addition install two extra
standoffs as shown on the picture

3. Installing the GPU riser cable (2 slot GPU)

- carefully bend the riser cable in a way


shown on the picture (it has to go under
the riser PCB)
- screw the riser to the two standoffs in the
bottom of the case using provided bolts
- do not plug the male end of the cable yet,
leave it in a position shown on the picture

4. Installing the GPU riser cable (2.1-3 slot GPU)

- graphic cards thicker than 2 slot can only


be installed if using m-ITX motherboard
- follow the instructions from step no.3,
and in addition install two extra standoffs
as shown on the picture

5. Installing the GPU – part 1

- plug the graphic card into the riser


- engage the latch at the end of the riser
connector
- screw the graphic card to the case
using two provided bolts

6. Installing the GPU – part 2

- carefully plug the male end of the GPU riser cable in the PCI-E x16 slot on the motherboard

7. Installing the SFX power supply – part 1


- put the power supply on the flat surface,
with fan side up
- take the power supply mounting bracket
and put in next to power supply like
shown on the picture
- bottom of the power supply bracket and
power supply should be on the same level
- screw down the power supply to the
bracket using three or four bolts,
depending on the mounting holes on your
power supply

8. Installing the SFX power supply – part 2

- before Installing the power supply to


the case, insert the AC plug to the
connector on the power supply like
shown on the picture
- power supply fan should be
oriented in the same direction as
graphic card

- screw the power supply bracket to the


case from the back side using two
provided screws

10. Installing hard drives – part 1

- prepare your hard drives by screwing in the provided bolts


to the right side of the drive like shown on the picture
- if you are using both 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives, then you only
need to apply this step to the 3.5 inch drive
- for 3.5 inch drives use only two bottom side holes

11. Installing hard drives – part 2

- screw down the hard drives to the mounting bracket with


provided bolts
- be careful, 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives use different type of bolts

12. Installing hard drives – part 3

- line up the hard drives so that the bolt heads on


the right side of the hard drives slide into the
holes on the front of the case
- this image shows the case without the front
mask to illustrate how the bolt head should line
up to the holes on the case
- screw the hard drive bracket to the bottom of
the case using provided bolts

13. Installing hard drives – part 4

- if using radiator or long graphic card, you might


want to install 2.5 inch hard drive to the alternative
location above the motherboard, on the back side
of the case
- screw the drive to the back side of the case using
two provided bolts

14. Installing case fans

- optionally, you can install up to


three 60mm case fans on the
top of the case
- place the fans above the
motherboard like shown on the
picture, and screw them to the
top of the case using the bolts
you receive with the fans

15. Installing the water cooling radiator

- optionally, you can install 120 mm water


cooling radiator in the position normally
occupied by hard drives
- place the radiator in a position shown on the
picture, and screw it to the case using four
provided bolts

16. Closing the left side panel – part 1

- lay the case on its right side


- place the left panel on the cases side flanges
- slide the panel into the channels on the case,
making sure that both front and top part of the
panel has entered the channel

17. Closing the left side panel – part 2

- screw the left panel to the case using provided


thumb screw like shown on the picture

18. Closing the right side panel – part 1

- lay the case on its left side


- place the right panel on the case
- slide the panel into the channels on the
case, making sure that both front and top
part of the panel has entered the channel

19. Closing the right side panel – part 2

- screw the right panel to the case using


provided screw like shown on the picture
- IMPORTANT NOTE: use only 3 mm bolt for
securing the right side panel, using longer
bolt could damage your motherboard!

20. Attaching the stand

- put the case on the stand so that the tabs on


the stand enter the slots at the bottom of the
case, like shown on the picture

20. Build complete

- congratulations, you have completed your build in the


P-ATX case!
