RZCAM flatbed series computer cutter is an automated numerical control equipment specially designed for cutting
patterns of shoes/garment/case/handbag industry. It adopts a self-developed embedded numerical control system, as
well as CPU and precise electronic components imported from the U.S., with its stability and operability reaching a
leading technical level at home and abroad. The cutter adopts imported linear rail combined with imported
synchronous belt drive, offering a complete zero error cutting prevision for traveling from and to the zero point. The
cutting speed can reach up to 60-100cm/s. It is safe and stable, with clear double-line LCD, elegant numerical
control interface, standard I/O interface, and supports HP-GL and GP-GL format. The cutter can be connected with
any CAD software, and its operation is simple and easy-to-learn. Currently, it is widely applied to the pattern cutting
of such industries as shoe-making, garment, case, handbag etc.

After you have purchased any model of the RZCAM flatbed series computer cutter, please be sure to read this
Manual carefully so that you can use this product properly and safely and fully understand its performance.

 Cutter Structure
RZCAM cutting plotter is composed of the following components:

Cutter bracket + Cutter platform + RZCAM numerical control system + Drive mechanism + Cutter head
(Automatic switch between blade and pen)

1. Overall design of this machine is accomplished by specialized mechanical designer, offering a streamline
appearance and a flexible platform bracket with free-moving wheels. When user wants to change its position,
he/she only needs to open the wheel lock and gently push the cutting plotter to the desired position, which is
convenient and practical.

2. Cutting platform of this machine is equipped with several groups of horizontal adjusting mechanism. During
horizontal adjustment of the cutting plane, the level can be adjusted at any time according to the requirements of
the cutting plane, which overcomes the shortcoming that the platform cannot be adjusted after leaving the
factory.

3. This machine adopts a self-developed embedded numerical control system, as well as CPU and precise
electronic components imported from the U.S. It has simple and easy-to-learn operating interface, with its
stability and operability reaching a leading technical level at home and abroad.

4. The steady and smooth running of the drive part directly determines the cutting output quality of the cutter.
This machine adopts imported linear rail as the moving structure in X and Y direction, which, combined with

the imported synchronous belt, enables greater cutting precision.

5. The cutting head of this machine adopts a new technology where an automatic switch device is provided for
the blade and pen, which means it can be automatically switched to half blade cutting after pen drawing is
finished, and automatically switched to full blade cutting after half blade cutting is finished. In addition, cutting
blade forces can be set for any eight types of materials, enabling you to finish all drawing and cutting work at
one time.

 Checking Accessories

Open the outer package of the wooden crate first, and then check Ruizhou computer cutter and its accessories,
which should include all of the following:

1. Stand Installation

Join the first rail

Sidelong the stand, install the


four truckles respectively
according to the screw holes.

3. Cutting Table Connection
First put the stand upwards and then lift the cutting table with two persons.
Note: Make sure the keyboard panel is at the side of the electric cabinet. See the following
image:

Align the screw positions
under the table with the ones

The screws should be put from

Fix the screws with the cap on the
top.
Follows the same instructions to fix
the screws on the four corners.

Connect the plugs to the electric
cabinet respectively.

Please pay attention to the front and


back of each plug.

Use a small screwdriver to fix
the plugs onto the electric
cabinet.

4. Air Pipe & Vacuum Pump Connection


Connect the air pipe to the vacuum pump.
- Please pay attention to the connection order, see the following image
- The metal clamp shall be fixed on the pipe.

Connect the other side of the pipe to the connector on the aluminium plate under the cutting
table. Also, the metal clamp shall be fixed on the pipe.

- Connect the vacuum signal line to the machine.


- Make sure the vacuum pump is connected with the grounding line

 Cutting Blade Installation

1. Remove the blade casing and screw off the blade cover as shown in the figure below

2. Put the cutting blade into the blade casing and push it to the bottom

3. Screw in the blade cover and leave 1.5~2mm of the blade tip outside (should be 0.2mm thicker than the
material to be cut) and ensure free rotation of the blade tip inside the blade casing

4. Put the blade casing into the cutting head and ensure it is completely against the bottom

5. Tighten the copper screws beside the blade casing to clamp it tight

 Auto Paper Feeding

Turn on the power switch. The cutting head moves to the bottom right corner and the LCD shows:

Press . Paper feeding length is 1/3 of the cutting plane length

Press . Paper withdrawing length is 1/3 of the cutting plane length

Press . Paper feeding length is the cutting plane length

Press . The paper will be cut off after cutting is finished

Press . Press left to inch forward and press right to inch backward

 Air Pump (Suction) Switch

Press and hold on the main screen. Release it when there is no display on the LCD. Now it shows:

Auto Open: ON →Press or to select to open automatic air pump suction


Auto Close: ON →Press or to select to close automatic air pump suction

Press to confirm the setting

Press to cancel the setting

 Blade Pressure and Pen Offset Adjustment

Turn on the power switch. The cutting head should move to the bottom right corner and the LCD shows the string:

1. Adjust current blade pressure (adjust according to the thicknesses of different materials)

Press once on the main screen to show:

Press to reduce blade pressure (preferably 3~5 units each time)

Press to test blade pressure (cut a small rectangle with the blade around the bottom right corner)
until it just cuts off the paper

Press to test the pen and the blade (Draw a small rectangle with the pen and then cut the small
rectangle with the blade)

Press twice on the main screen to show:

OVERRETURNS: ON Return to the bottom right corner after cutting is over. When set to OFF, the cutting
head will not return to the bottom right corner automatically. Use or to modify the setting

GO O POINT: ON When PU0, 0 is set, the cutting head is allowed to move to the bottom left corner. When
set to OFF, it is not allowed to move to the bottom left corner. Use or modify the setting

6. Positioning of the Zero Point

Press any arrow key of on the main screen to show:

Move the cutting head according to arrow directions

Press to change the distance the cutting head will move each time an arrow key is pressed

3. Reception mode

Press twice on Screen A to show:

Press or to change reception mode to background reception or front reception

Press to confirm the setting

ON state means: Back reception (Receive while cutting)

For serial port reception, ON state is recommended for acceleration of reception speed

During back reception, several pages of data can be stored: After data of the first page has been sent and the
red indicator of PROMPT on the control panel has gone out, the data of the second page can be sent, and the
LCD will show:

2P means there are two pages of data in the machine, totaling 250K, which occupies 10% of the total memory.
If this percentage is about to reach 100%, you are advised to wait after several pages are finished and such
percentage is reduced before sending data again.

Press + on the main screen to clear all the data received.

OFF state means: Front reception (Cut after all data are received)

For parallel port reception, OFF state is recommended.

Under OFF state, press to show:

REINDEX: ON means to draw the data received before cutting

REINDEX: OFF means to keep the sequence of the data received

 Precautions

(1) The packaged computer cutter should be protected against upside-down vibration and collision;

(2) Keep the surface of the cutting platform clean. Adhesive contaminant can be wiped off using benzine or
alcohol;

(3) Do not place foreign objects such as scissor etc. on the surface of the cutting platform to avoid contact
with the cutting head when starting the machine;

(4) Do not plug or unplug the power plug when the line is energized;

(5) Do not place the cutter in humid and dusty environment;

(6) If malfunction of the machine occurs, please restart the machine. If the problem persists, please contact
the supplier;

(7) If the machine makes abnormal sound or its movement is obstructed, be sure to cut off the power supply

immediately and stop using the machine. Contact the supplier immediately;

(8) Maintenance of the linear rail: This machine adopts imported rail materials and technology, which
features high precision and seamless technology etc. Attention should be paid to cleaning and
maintenance during usage. Normally, the rail should be lubricated once every half month. Details
regarding specific operation techniques will be taught by trainers during in-house training.
