There are multiple devices that function in the same manner

types of food processing devices that work on the same
guidelines. These include devices that are found in the global

Noise
Household chores: Due to the infiltration of gadgets for
almost everything in our daily lives, homes produce noise
from gadgets such as TV, mobile, mixer- grinder, pressure
cooker, vacuum cleaners, washing machine -dryer, cooler,
air conditioners, etc. While this form of pollution may seem
harmless, it, in fact, has far-reaching consequences.
Pollution
industrial machines exceed danger levels of 110 to 115 dB.
They become disoriented more easily and face many behavioral problems.
Health Issues
Excessive noise pollution in working areas can influence psychological ill health.
At the cellular level, the body’s cells do not repair as they should and die off when
exposed to loud noise on a regular basis.
Sleeping disorders
Poor sleep due to noise disturbance causes irritation and uncomfortable situations.
Cardiovascular issues
Critical health problems
due to noise pollution Due to constant noise disturbance conversations may be misunderstood or poorly
understood.
Occasionally moving house if the ambient sound levels are too high and
cannot be controlled is the only option for some people whose health is
being seriously adversely affected by noise pollution.

The store is very spacious and things displayed are usually kept in customized shelving
units except for the regular kitchen appliances.
This store attracts a variety of customers considering the location. Everyone from
curious kids to adults who come to make serious purchases.Since it gives out offers on
many products people are more enticed to step in and glance.
Big Appliance Store
Mixer grinders are displayed very carelessly as a demo piece is kept on loosely stacked LULU Mall

and cleaning the boxes and rearrangement every other month. This section brought
down the vibe of the place due to the careless display.

The store is covered with things from aisle to aisle and has a lot of variety in products offered

The customers in this store that come for the electronics are mostly of 30 - 60 years of age
and come to make their grocery run along with shopping for appliances. Since it offers a lot of
products the foot traffic is usually very high and you can expect a queue at the payment desk. Medium sized Appliance Store

The mixer grinders here were displayed very neatly packed into shelves. All of the mixer Mumbai
grinders even had their attachments alongside it.
Price of mixer grinders they sell starts from Rs.3,500 - Rs.7,000 (also includes seasonal/
festive offers)
Every brand is treated equally so there nothing that jumps and grabs your attention in the
store although people were suggestive towards brands like Preethi and Phillips.

Nothing really stands out in this store as a brand because they’ve been treated equally in regards to
marketing and merchandising.
The store itself takes up a very small space and is jam-packed with stuff. Everything is
organized using sleeves and hooks.
The store does not get a lot of customers as compared to others mostly because they are a
very niche store in a mall that has a hypermarket and other home appliance stores. But the
people who did come in usually browsed and bought small modern kitchen utensils. Most
were young married couples and middle-aged women. Medium sized Appliance Store
R-City Mall
The only three models of mixer grinders available in the store were displayed in custom made Mumbai
podiums which would be used in its other chains. They also had a KitchenAid blender which
is highly expensive and very rare to find in retail outlets.
Other innovations were also displayed like the manual juicer, food processor and the portable USB charged juicer.
A lot of these products were fresh in the market also they were being demoed which let me observe and use some
products first hand.
Preethi stood out because of their live demo and customer interaction. Also because of brand trust.

purchasing it and using it in his / her house. It also is bought
numerous times to be repaired when something goes wrong.
I visited some of these repair shops to cover the problem that
they bring it in because of. It gives us a deeper understanding
of what the product is capable of and what are the things that
can go wrong on a technical level.
Usual problems he takes in mixer grinder includes armature problems (the core of the motor) and also
replacing the bush between the coupler and the jar.
Average repair cost for mixer grinders range from Rs.300 - Rs.800 depending on the type of problem,
the intensity of repair and time and effort taken to source parts and carry out said repairs.
George / Small local reapair shop / Kochin
The volume of customers that come in to service their mixer grinder is approximately 1 - 2 people every 2
weeks.
People tend not to trust the quality of repairs done by such shops resulting in lesser customers for more
serious repairs.
You can also see some mixer grinders that came in for repair but couldn’t be and were given off for a
sum of money as spare parts.
Usual problems attended to in their shop regarding mixer grinders is motor rewinding, also repairing the
motor getting burnt or getting stuck due to various reasons including overload.
They charge a fixed rate of Rs.100 just to diagnose the problem and figure out what’s broken. After
looking at how to fix it and whats required the provide an estimate, if approved by the client then move
Sanju Jose/ Established reapair shop / Kochin on with the repair process. Average costs range from Rs.700 - Rs.2000 (for things like replacing the
motor and else).
They get about 1 - 2 customers every day with problems concerning their mixer grinder as they’re
located in very close proximity of a lot of apartment. They also help kids that come in with their science
projects building customer relations with parents and others.
They have a lot of deman and not enough man power to supply required services which leads to a long
wait time.

ABS’s light weight and ability to be injection molded and extruded make
it useful in manufacturing products such as drain-waste-vent (DWV) pipe
systems, musical instruments (recorders, plastic clarinets, and piano
movements), golf club heads (because of its good shock absorbance),
automotive trim components, automotive bumper bars, medical devices
for blood access, enclosures for electrical and electronic assemblies,
protective headgear, whitewater canoes, buffer edging for furniture and
joinery panels, luggage and protective carrying cases, small kitchen
appliances, and toys, including Lego and Kre-O bricks. Household and
consumer goods are the major applications of ABS. Keyboard keycaps
are commonly made out of ABS.

ABS has a strong resistance to corrosive between those of Polypropylene (“PP”) and
chemicals and/or physical impacts. It is Polycarbonate (“PC”). ABS plastic is not
very easy to machine and has a low melting typically used in high heat situations due to its
temperature making it particularly simple to use low melting point. All of these characteristics
in injection molding manufacturing processes lead to ABS being used in a large number of
