In Lynzy Lab’s song “A Scary Time,” the lyrics used help demonstrate the struggles
women go through on a daily basis.

The first verse of the song says “I can't walk to my car late at night while on the phone
I can't open up my windows when I'm home alone. I can't go to the bar without a
chaperone.” These are all examples of the daily struggles women have to endure with
modern sexism.

Analysis Analyze each example. How does each prove the overall focus of

Lab’s chose to use the first three lines of her song to shows that women can not safely
do simple tasks with out worrying about what will happen to them, no matter the size
of the task.
