Let start with the babysitting.

It teaches you valuable skills such as safety skills, communication and


relationship building, multi-tasking, cooking, time management and organization skills. You can also
study while you’re doing it. But some times the children are not well behaved.

Do you think waiter’s a good job? You can earn a lot of money with tips and get free meals. But as you
work in a restaurant, it’s a normal thing to have shifts during weekends and on holidays and there will
be more work for you during these times.

How about fruit picker? This type of work means that you don’t need any qualifications for the job so
you can often find and start work on the same day. But the working hours can be long and potentially
back breaking. It also often involves a very early start in the morning in order to keep the fruit and
vegetables crisp and fresh (before the intense summer heat kicks in.)

If you love being outside, then gardening is probably your dream job. Being a gardener means doing
loads of exercise which is good because you can become healthier. However, the amount of money you
make highly depends on the weather. In winter you most likely will have a lot of free days in your
calendar. Keep that in mind.

I think activity organizer would be the most enjoyable for students to do. It’s good for your CV to do
something that involves planning and organising. Although it is a very demanding and stressful job, It’s
also good fun and helps you increase your confidence level and communication skills.
