1 Welcome, member’s Good morning every body, welcome to our
name, introduce topic presentation. We are “Group 10” and there are 4
people in our team: Kim Anh, Thanh Chau, Diep Thuan
and me – Minh Luan. We are very delighted to be here
today to talk about an interesting topic: “Which part of
your area would make a good location for a film?
Why?”

2 Introduction As a Vietnamese citizen, to be honest, I’m proud to say

that Vietnam is one of the most beautiful countries in
the world and there are a variety of different
spectacular places with picturesque scenery. Many of
them I think are very suitable to be locations for
making films

3 Introduction Among a lot of fascinating areas, we strongly support

the idea that Ninh Binh, a wonderful province in the
Red River Delta region, would be the perfect choice to
make a good location for a film, thanks to a wide range
of these following reasons.

4 Natural condition To begin with, the first reason I would like to mention
(location) is the natural condition.
I have to say that Ninh Binh has an ideal geographical
location. As you may know, Ninh Binh is located in the
most crucial region of the Northern Delta and it’s also
near Hanoi, the capital of the country. The traffic
infrastructure here has developed very well too so that
we can travel easily and conveniently by different ways
such as 1A Highway or North-south railway.

5 Natural condition Moreover, Ninh Binh is in a humid subtropical climate

(climate) area where the average temperature is about 23oC and
the ambient humidity is quite high and kind of foggy,
which means in certain times of a day we can observe
many fanciful scenery of Mother Nature, as if we were
in heaven. In addition, the weather in general is quite
ideal and can create the conditions for making films as
well.

6 Natural condition Furthermore, the physical geography of Ninh Binh is

(physical geography) diverse and it consists of 3 main areas including hilly
and mountainous regions which mostly are tropical
forest; vast area of plain like rice paddies with rivers
beside and coastal areas. Consequently, directors,
producers, cinematographers can have numerous
choices of background for their phenomenal movie
scenes.

7 History & Culture I would like to move on to the second point: History
and Culture of this province. Since ancient time, Ninh
Binh has been a crucial historical and cultural center of
the Red River Delta. Therefore, this place is well-known
for a high density of impressive cultural attractions
such as Phat Diem Cathedral, Bai Dinh Pagoda or Hoa
Lu ancient capital. Filmmakers can take advantage of
these and put on their films.

8 Cuisine Speaking of the cuisine. Vietnamese cuisine is typical

for Asian culture in general and Vietnam in particular.
Every dishes always bear the Vietnamese national
identities and it will be interesting if we bring our
Ninh Binh cuisine as well as Vietnamese cuisine into
the film right ?

9 Cuisine During making a film in Ninh Binh, it is amazing for the

film crew to enjoy these must-try specialties such as
goat meat, mountain snail, etc… All of them are
nutritious and delicious. Besides, these fascinating food
are very good for the balance of people’s health after a
hard-working day.

10 Human Now we talk about the human here. From the bottom
of my heart, I have to say that they are extremely
friendly and enthusiastic. There is a majority of ethnic
people. Most of them live in a group so they have a
spirit of solidarity and they always overcome many
obstacles together. Have you ever surprised that they
used to appear on a Hollywood film before?

11 Human Fortunately, they astonishingly appeared on some

beautiful sequences of the most well-known fiction
film - Kong: Skull Island in 2017. Although they just
were extras in this movie, they really impressed
viewers by aboriginal artistic disguised.

12 Some beauty spots in Regardless to the beauty spot that also contribute to
Ninh Binh the enormous success of the film. Some famous
locations have a naturally privilege to appear on the
movie such as Trang An scenic Landscape Complex,
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Van Long Nature Reserve, Bai
Dinh Buddhist temple, etc. These place are listed above
not only meet the needs of the film but also help the
Vietnam tourism widespread.

13 Introduce Trang An Specifically, I would like to talk about Trang An – an

Scenic Landscape ideal location for making film. Trang An is a complex of
Complex spectacular landscapes and historical cultural heritage.
The scene here is made up of winding rivers flowing
through limestone mountains. Also, there are
countless fanciful natural caves.

14 Introduce Trang An With beautiful unspoiled natural scenery, Trang An was

Scenic Landscape recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural
Complex Heritage. These are some scenes in “Kong: Skull Island”
was filmed in Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.

15 Introduce Hoa Lu Next, I’d like to introduce to you Hoa Lu which was the
Ancient Capital capital of Dai Co Viet under the Dinh and Le dynasties.
It lays in a flat valley surrounded by small but steep
limestone mountains. The mountains and sea combine
to make Hoa Lu’s picturesque landscape.

16 Introduce Hoa Lu Nowadays, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is a very important

Ancient Capital architectural and historical complex of Viet Nam.
Because of its ancient temples and relic sites, “Tam
Cam: The Untold Story” and “Blood Letter” chose this
place to film the magnificent scenes of feudal times.

17 Introduce Tam Coc – Finally, I want to talk about Tam Coc – Bich Dong. It is a
Bich Dong magnificent complex of Bich Dong pagoda and Tam Coc
grotto which is also called “Ha Long Bay on land”. Its
poetic and inspirational natural scenery together with
a sacred spiritual life have converged into a fascinating
and attractive point of Tam Coc - Bich Dong.

18 Introduce Tam Coc – Its beauty is a wonderfully harmonious combination

Bich Dong between the stunning caves, the charming waterways
and the talent of the human, forming an inseparable
unity. Here are some scenes in “Tam Cam” and “Kong:
Skull Island” filmed in this place

19 Conclusion To sum up, because of its unique features, Ninh Binh

would make a good location for a film. Vogt Roberts,
the director of Kong: Skull Island, said he had never
seen landscapes like that before and wanted his
audiences to reach Vietnam, explore Ninh Binh, fall in
love with the landscapes, people, cultures, and foods.
