1 Introduction
These Release Notes provide an overview of Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4, including
new features, delivery information, and supported platforms.

OpenText recommends that you read these Release Notes in conjunction with the documentation
included with the software package. If any conflicts exist, the Release Notes supersede the other
documentation.

OpenText also recommends that you check OpenText My Support (https://support.opentext.com) for
any patches or documentation updates that may have been posted after the initial release of this
product.

2 About Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4

This section provides an overview of Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4.

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions is an on-premises application that supports the capture of any
form of content. Using patent pending machine learning, the solution reduces manual interaction by
automating the capture process for incoming documents related to SAP business objects, whether
simple or multi-page complex documents. Both SAP ECC and S/4HANA are supported.

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions supports OpenText™ Vendor Invoice Management for SAP®
Solutions, providing all the steps from capture to processing information in an automated and
intelligent way.

2.1 New features

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 includes the following new features:

Processing enhancements
• Support invoice capture for China and Russia – country specific fields added to invoice scenario.
• Support e-invoice format ZUGFeRD/Factur-X – extract xml file from PDF/A3 and hand over to
VIM.
• Support new India invoice format with QR code – extract IRN number and other QR code data.
• Support new Swiss invoice format with QR code – in addition to extraction of three data fields,
extract all QR code data and provide as string list for custom extensions.
• Support Service Entry Sheets – extract Service Entry Sheet number.

• Support invoice processing related to SAP transportation management – extract specific data like
airway bill number.
• Automatic pre-learning function now also supports pre-learning based on OpenTextTM Business
Center Capture for SAP Solutions (BCC) result data for non-invoice solutions for starting with
optimized recognition rate when switching to Intelligent Capture for SAP.

Customizing enhancements
• Introduce new extraction mode for pdf documents and decide on EText versus OCR on page
level; EText mode will use the embedded e-text and skip OCR for pages containing e-text.
• Switch on/off attachment separation by patch code sheet and configure extraction limited to
defined number of pages.
• Add new custom field types, for example Barcode, item description and so on.

Transport learning data between SAP systems

• Create snapshots of learning data which can be exported from a repository and reimported in a
different repository. This also allows to reuse learning data snapshots from cloud on premise and
vice versa.

Enhance business partner determination

• Highly improved company code and supplier determination for non-invoice solutions and for
invoices in US and other countries where determination was difficult so far.

IES extraction analytics

• Measure percentage of extracted fields compared to fields processed in Validation Client.

2.2 Discontinued and deprecated features

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 discontinues the following features:

Global OCR Parameter for extraction restriction

The OCR internal application settings parameter StopExtractAfterMaxPages has been deprecated.
With this parameter the extraction has been restricted to a defined number of pages which applies for
all profiles configured within SAP. With Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 the configuration
has been moved to SAP. With version 20.4 it is also possible to set the parameter for each profile
separately.

3.1 Packaging and delivery information

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 includes the following software packages:

• Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 installation package

• Business Center Capture for SAP Solutions 16.7 Update 2 (optional use)
• Imaging Enterprise Scan (optional use)

Two optional user interface packages are available, providing single click entry (SCE) functionality for
optimal learning success for Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 machine learning. You can
select one for installation:

• Validation Client for SAP Solutions 20.4 installation package (optional)

• SCESAPGUI Patch31 installation package for ActiveX control for VIM Indexing screen (optional)

4 Supported environments and compatibility

This section provides details about supported platforms, systems, and versions.

4.1 Supported systems

 Hardware requirements
For each processor node, 3 GB RAM should be available. Therefore, on a computer with four
processing nodes, 12 GB RAM should be available. Also make sure that always one CPU is left for
the Microsoft Windows operating system, that is if you have a four CPU computer, then configure only
three processing nodes.

The disk space required for production mainly depends on the size of the documents (medium
number of pages) send for extraction.

For extraction you should plan 150 MB disk space for processing single page documents per
processing node. Thus, if you have five extraction nodes with four pages per document on average,
you should plan 5 * 4 * 150 MB = 3 GB.

In addition, you should plan several GB disk-space for trace files, and for data of documents waiting
for processing.

Add these requirements to the minimum of 20 GB. For the above examples, you should have at least
35 GB available on the system drive.

Software requirements
4.1.2.1 Vendor Invoice Management

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 requires Vendor Invoice Management for SAP
Solutions (VIM) ABAP add-on version 20.4.

4.1.2.2 Microsoft Windows platform

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 supports the following Microsoft Windows versions
(including 64-bit versions: WOW64):
• Microsoft Windows 2016 Server 1) 2)

• Microsoft Windows 2019 Server 1) 2)

1) Terminal Server is supported.
2) Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 is not supported in a docker environment using docker image
"microsoft/windowsservercore”.

Take care to install all available important updates.

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 can be used with VMWare (ESX-Server).

4.1.2.3 Hosting server in Private Cloud

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 server software can also be installed and run on a
VM located in a private cloud environment like Google, Azure or AWS.
Notes:

• The operating system installed on the cloud VM must be supported by our software.

 • When using cloud VMs running Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4, the
communication via HTTP(S) should be secured by default network options supported/offered
by the specific cloud provider.

4.1.2.4 Prerequisites for installation

• .NET Framework 4.8 as minimum is required.

• Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package (x86_12.0.30501.0 min.) is required.
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Package (x86_14.0.24215.1 min.) is required.
• IIS and ASP.NET Server components are required (version depends on the OS).
• Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 needs access to a SAP ERP system containing
Vendor Invoice Management 20.4.

Security information

OpenText recommends to always apply latest security fixes from Microsoft. Especially install security
fix CVE-2020-0646 for Microsoft .NET Framework (see https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-
US/security-guidance/advisory/CVE-2020-0646).

Also refer to the information about unused OpenSSL files (Windows x86 + Windows x64) in "Asian
Language Option" available as patch note CRE/CFPR Asian Languages Option 7.8 + 16.6 (see
https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/llisapi.dll?func=ll&objId=77613388&objAction=browse&vie
wType=1).

Network
The protocol TCP/IP and HTTP(S) must be supported.

4.2 OpenText product compatibility

The section provides details about which versions of other OpenText products are compatible with this
release of Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions.

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions 20.4 supports all SAP versions which are supported by
VIM. For compatibility only the version and patch level of VIM Foundation Inbound component
is relevant, which defines compatibility with VIM versions. For more information, refer to the
release notes of VIM.

4.4 Supported image formats

Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions processes:
• All document formats used for business documents like invoices, orders and so on, such
as DIN A4, legal, letter, and smaller formats, in portrait and landscape orientation with a
minimum font size of 1.5 mm high and 0.5 mm wide.
• JPEG for color and gray images with a maximum image resolution of 400 dpi. JPEG
compression should be moderate for avoiding loss of pixel information which would have
negative impact on the recognition quality.

• TIFF 6.0 binary images in the compression modes:
