der, using natural gypsum found in its own mines and state-of-the-art equipment and

cement boards, screws, and tapes.

Gboard produces boards that are environmentally friendly. Raw
gypsum is extracted directly from the factory’s quarries, making the
starting material as pure as possible, and the final product 99.9%
natural.

Gcoat, Gboard’s Ready Mixed Joint Compound offers convenient joint finishing ideal for
all stages of gypsum-board finishing, including taping, finishing, skim coating, texturing,
corner beads filling, trimming, and hiding nails and screw dimples.

PHYSICAL PREPARATION
CHARACTERISTICS
Material: Vinyl-type formulation - Position and apply gypsum panels in accordance with manufacturer’s
Coverage: Approximately 67.4kg/100m2 of gypsum panel recommendations.
Emission: Asbestos Free - Carry off excess moisture by maintaining adequate ventilation.
Drying time: Overnight. (Drying times vary with temperature and humidity)
- Mix contents lightly, without adding water.
Storage: Up to 12 months shelf life under good storage conditions
Size: 28kg plastic pails - Use directly from container for covering fasteners and corner bead.
Freezing sensitivity: Protect from freezing - For taping and finishing joints, thin as necessary.
Color: White - Add water in 250ml increments to avoid over-thinning. Mix again lightly and
Density: 1.5kg/l test apply after each water addition.
Standards and Codes: Gcoat is manufactured to conform to ASTM C 475
Application
Gcoat is easy to apply. Simply follow these steps:

Apply tape around the area of the drywall. Sand once more using 120 grit sandpaper.

Apply Gcoat on wall. If working on a corner, apply from
corner out. Apply compound 10 cm from the edge or
corner on both sides. Let dry.
Sand lightly using 120 grit sandpaper.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 two more times.
Apply one more coat using a 20 cm compound knife.
Let dry.
Sand using 120 grit sandpaper.
Apply final coat, finishing it off by sanding it with 200
grit sandpaper.

Apply an even coat of Gcoat, 10 cm from the edge for a

corner. To do this, use a 10 cm finish knife. Let dry.
