=The measure problems area identified in this case are:
A)The general manager is facing difficulties in obtaining information.
B) Most of the time of the general manager is wasted in locating the
information.
C)The equipments are ideal.
D)There is delay in preparing the operating reports.
2) Do you see any principles of management that
has been violated by the manager of the company?
=The principles of management that have been violated by the
manager of the company is "PRINCIPLE OF ORDERS" . This principles
states that there should be proper arrangement of material and people.
They should be in right time and place. As, in this case the working
equipments are ideal and there is delay in the preparation of operating
reports because of unproper arrangement of people and material.
3)Under which form of organization is the
company presently operating?
= The company is presently operating under sole proprietorship
organization. Sole proprietorship is one- man business organization . It
is the type of organization that is fully owned and managed by one
person. As in this case, we know that the general manager has full
authority all over the organization. So in this term we can say that the
ESSCO COMPANY is presently operating under sole proprietorship
organization.
4) Do you find any evidence of decentralization of authority?

= Yes, there is decentralization managerial authority in this


organization. As the juniour level staff of the organization has been
given the responsibility for functional activities under each of the
department of manufacturing, marketing and finance for general
administration.
5) What organizational structure would you suggest to the general
manager of the company to overcome the existing problems?

= The organizational structure which I would suggest to the general


manager of the company to overcome the existing problems is
FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE . In functional organizational
structure the department are divided based on speciality. In ESSCO
company , there is delay in preparation of operating reports due to lack
of speciality of employees in that particular work.So the division of
department must be done on the basis of speciality in that particular
work.
