Description In the process of Amplitude Modulation, the modulated wave consists of the carrier wave
of the and two sidebands. The modulated wave has the information only in the
experiment sidebands. Sideband is nothing but a band of frequencies, containing power, which are the
lower and higher frequencies of the carrier frequency.
The transmission of a signal, which contains a carrier along with two sidebands can be
termed as Double Sideband Full Carrier system or simply DSBFC.

Inferences In DSBFC the power fluctuations change with variations in frequency.

At 24GHz it can be seen that there are more drops in the power as compared to 18GHz. At
18GHz power goes as low as -70dB , at 24Ghz the power level drops near -60dB
Conclusion We observed the effects of frequency on power of the optical fiber with respect to its
length in DSBFC and came to the conclusion that as the length of the fiber increases the
power fluctuations decrease.
