 Jose Rizal was a national

hero of Philippines.
His real name is Jose
Protacio Rizal Mercado Y
Realonda.
 He was born in calamba,
Laguna province.
 He studied medicine
because he wants to cure
his mother’s growing
blindness due to cataract.
 His two novels (El
Filibusterismo and Noli Me
Tangere) had an effect on
early beginning of
Philippine revolution.
People recognize his
advocacy to achieve liberty
through peaceful mean
rather than violent
revolution.

 He died December 30,

1896 at Luneta Park,
Manila (Bagumbayan) on
the accusation of political
conspiracy and sedition,
and rebellion against the
Spanish government in
Philippines.
