To know the subject Garbhavkranti, s tu d y of

classics as a wh ol e is indispensible b e c a us e the subject c on ce rne d

psychophysical development. In modern embryalogy the subject is

well edited while in A y u rve d ic l it e r a tu r e it is describ ed in v ariou s

branches .

With lim ited e q ui p me nt s an d facilities, I have

tried to e x p l a i n some of the c h a p t e r s of G a r b h a v k ra n ti in the l i g h t

o f modern m e d i c a l science.
