Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati,Bomdila
Guwahati – Bomdila (339 km/ 8.5 hrs)

Arrive at Guwahati airport / railway station, meet & assist by our driver cum guide & drive to
Bomdila. In case if you reach Guwahati by morning flight then you can visit the Maa Kamakhya
temple situated at the top of Nilachal Hills. Start your drive to Bomdila. En route you can stop &
visit the Nag Mandir. Also stop & visit Tippi Orchidariurm, which hosts over 2600 cultivated
orchids from 80 different species. Resume your drive again. Check into hotel on arrival.
Overnight. .

Day 2 Bomdila,Tawang
Bomdila – Tawang (173 km/ 8.5 hrs)
After breakfast, check out & drive to visit the Bomdila Monastery & Bomdila View Point. Start your
drive to Tawang. En route visit Sela Pass – the highest motor able pass and Jaswanth Garh War
Memorial – dedicated to Martyr Jaswanth Singh of Indian Army in 1962 Indo China war. Check
into hotel on arrival. Overnight. .

Day 3 Tawang
Tawang
After breakfast visit the Tawang monastery, Ani Gompa, Urgelling monastery (also known as the
birth place of 6th Dalai Lama), Tawang emporium and also the Giant Buddha Statue. Evening

visit the Tawang War Memorial and enjoy the light and sound show. Return to hotel by dusk.
Overnight. Optional with extra cost After breakfast drive to visit the Bumla Pass (India China
Border Point), Sangaster Lake & PT' SOE Lake by paying an extra amount of INR 5,000.00/- for
local vehicle & special permit. Return to hotel. Overnight. Note: Only local vehicles are allowed. .

Day 4 Dirang
Tawang – Dirang (135 km/ 7 hrs)
After breakfast drive towards Dirang. En route visit the beautiful Jung Falls (also known as the
Nuranang Falls). Reach Dirang & visit the Dirang Monastery. Later check into hotel on arrival.
Overnight. .

Day 5 Dirang
Dirang – Nameri National Park (170 km/ 7 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from hotel & drive to visit the Dirang Monastery – also known as
Kalchakra Monastery, apple & kiwi orchards. Resume your drive & stop at Sangti Valley. Later
start your drive towards Nameri National Park. Reach & check into eco camp on arrival. After
refreshment you can walk around the bank of Jia Borelli River – famous for the rare species of
Golden Mahseer. Return to hotel. Overnight. .

Day 6
Nameri National Park – Shillong (283 km/ 7 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from hotel & drive to Shillong - Shillong – also known as the “Scotland
of the East”. En route stop at the majestic Umium Lake located at Barapani. On arrival, check in
to your hotel. Leisure by own or you can visit Police Bazar – the main commercial hub of
Shillong. Return to hotel. Overnight. Optional with extra cost Before starting your drive to Shillong
you can also go for Jungle Trek in the Nameri National Park & River Rafting in the Jia Borailli
River - famous for the rare species of Golden Mahseer. .

Day 7 Cherrapunjee
Shillong – Cherrapunjee (56 kms / 2 hrs)

After breakfast proceed towards Cherrapunjee. Visit the Elephant Falls & Shillong Peak. Also
stop at the Mawdak Valley view point. Reach Cherrapunjee & visit the Seven Sisters’’ falls,
Nokhalikai Falls and, Dainthlen falls, & Eco Park. Post lunch visit the Awrah Cave and Mawsmai
Cave. Check into hotel on arrival. Overnight. .

Day 8
Cherrapunjee – Dawki – Mawlynnong & back to Shillong (115 kms / 3.5 hrs- one way)
After breakfast drive to Dawki – the border town between India and Bangladesh. In Dawki you
can also see the Suspension bridge above the Umngot River. The suspension bridge was
constructed during the British rule. You can also enjoy country boat ride in the Umngot River.
The specialty of Umngot River is that – the water is very crystal clear even you can see the
ground. After that, drive towards Mawlynnong- also known as the “cleanest village in Asia”. You
can observe the cleanliness of the village by taking a short walk. Post lunch visit the nearby Riwai
village and walk around the Single Decker Living Root Bridge. Return to hotel. Overnight. Note:
Water activities are subject to river & weather conditions. .

Day 9 Guwahati
Shillong - Guwahati depart (110 kms/ 3 hrs)
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive towards Guwahati airport for onward journey. .
