Foreword
With a view to actively supporting globalization of research
and development activities, the Communications Society of
IEICE will hold English Sessions and English Poster
Sessions at the 2006 Society Conference. Both of the
sessions are organized in the form of an open symposium
with submitted papers 2 pages in length. Oral presentations
and poster presentations are allowed for the English sessions
and English poster sessions, respectively, in English to foster
vigorous participation of researchers, engineers and students
from abroad and promote discussions on hot topics and latest
research results. You are all kindly encouraged to contribute
to and take part in the English sessions and English poster
sessions.

Preparation of Papers
1. Each author is requested to submit one original of two-
page camera ready summary.
2. The two-page summary must be written on A4-size
(29.7cm × 21.0cm) white bond paper, typed two-
columned on one side only within 17 cm × 24 cm.
Characters and illustrations exceeding the 17 cm × 24 cm
area limit on each sheet may not be printed in the
technical digest.
3. The title of the paper, author’s name, affiliation, complete
return address, telephone number, facsimile number and
e-mail address must appear at the top of the first page.
4. Font sizes for 12 point size(Bold) or more for the title only
and use 10 point size for other texts including authors,
affiliations.
5. Clear tables, line drawings, and photographs can be
included anywhere in the 2-page summary. Use black and
white photographs wherever possible because color
photographs will result in dull and unclear reproduction.
6. If the paper is accepted, the manuscript will appear in the
B-5 size technical proceedings in offset print.
Submission of Papers
Step 1:
Authors who wish to submit their papers for the CS English
sessions must complete their registration form first,
electronically via the IEICE web site in advance by 12 July,
2006. After completing the registration, Paper ID Sheet on

which the Paper ID number and password are listed would be
given for confirmation. The password would be useful when
you modify or confirm the contents of the registration later.
Please make hard-copy of the Paper ID Sheet and keep the
copy for your record. The Paper ID Sheet would be
necessary to submit your paper.
Step 2:
After electronic registration via the web site, you would
receive Confirmation Sheet via e-mail from the
administration office for the 2006 IEICE Society Conference.
Please confirm the contents of the sheet. Registration in the
evening of the deadline day would not be recommended
because of the congestion of the link.
Step 3:
The author should send the camera-ready original paper to

The copyrights for all articles in the Conference published by
the IEICE, whatever medium it may be presented, are
automatically transferred to the IEICE. However, authors
themselves may copy, translate or modify their own
manuscripts. In such cases, when translating the manuscript
or using all or most of the manuscript in other publications,
authors should report the fact to the IEICE, and the original
manuscript should be clearly cited in the publications. Even
when only part of the manuscript is used, the reference for
the original manuscript should be included, or the reference
should be presented in the figure captions.
