(d) Appreciative inquiry is the analysis of the works that going good and the factors that are
driving towards the betterment of the project. Finding out the reason, implementing it on the rest
of the projects so that a better outcome can be found.

(e) It is important to ensure that the motivation among the employee is maintained or else they
might feel abandoned by the work. Making sure the satisfaction factors that help the employee

Ans-5- (a) according to me the potential leadership style that can be covered while operating a
firm like Starbucks, I would like to have an aggressive and go-getter attitude. This will ensure
that the results are achieved and a positive growth takes place.

Key strengths
(b) The key strength I will be having is a large source of employees who can help the firm going
and maintaining the integrity of the company. Moreover trusting the skills that I have, I will
choose to go with the full power so that I can further modify the policies with which people can
make afford the products on offer.

(c) The key challenges will be competing with any other brand but with a limitation. Making the
place workable for the employees will be the second challenge. Because without employees the
company is nothing.

Developments to efficiently utilize the leadership ability


(d) Grooming is a very important part and acquiring new skills every day so that I get to know
about different things and acquire knowledge so that I can help the firm in making some more
amount of profit. Being friendly with the employees can be another great way of getting to know
the problems that are being faced by them. This way I can help to resolve the issues if any.

Keeping a good track of employee’s mental health will always be the priority
Introduction

Starbucks is the future of coffee shops in the world. They have now access most of the world.
The food chain has a lot of ideas and innovations behind it. To be precise the firm has no rivals.
Even if there are, they know for a fact that they are incapable of competition.

In the content, there is a brief description of the different roles and responsibilities that the
company follows. Being so big, the load of responsibilities comes in as well, and with that comes
the role of leaders who know how to excavate to the wall of success.

The business strategy that they follow is very simple yet amazing. The motive is to grow fast
with slow returns which later turns into huge growth and huge returns. Building more reserves
can be another good option to consider so that inventory can be increased.

They have taken certain ethical measures as well as the reduction in the usage of sugar. Asking
customers for their choice and suggestion. Informing the customer about different health
benefits, including all fresh and safe ingredients.

It has also given a voice against Racial discrimination. Any case of racial discrimination has
been opposed in the future of Starbucks. After an incident of the accidental proclamation of two
black men as a threat. In fear, the authorities had dialed up the cops who came and arrested them.
Later they were released after eight-hour custody.

This had called in for a global issue for which many stores in Philadelphia were facing problems.
The CEO then handles the entire scenario by tweeting an apology letter.

He tweeted: “First, to once again express our deepest apologies to the two men who were arrested to do
whatever we can to make things right. Second, to let you know of our plans to investigate the pertinent
facts and make any necessary changes to our practices that would help prevent such an occurrence from
ever happening again. And third, to reassure you that Starbucks stands firmly against discrimination or
racial profiling.”

Overview
The second part is about management. Starbucks has mostly students or aspiring students. The
students get a lot of advantages while working with Starbucks. To be precise 70 percent of
students working Starbucks are students moreover they get full coverage on tuition fees and
choose their favorite course from 70 online courses. Starbuck in collaboration with Arizona
University made the dream of many people.

The article also speaks about the employee or the direct management part and explain how
systematic and comprehensive the entire operations are. But there is one man who is keeping the
field clean and green. Mr. Johnson who has been the mastermind behind handling all the issues.

Starbucks believes in stable compensation and equal rights of all. There are many key factors
included in this that are solely taken care of by the organization.

Overview on Servant leadership


By servant leadership, we understand that a leader who is in a higher position but keeps a check
on the ground operation and management. It is very important to make sure that every operation
and steps that the firm is taking, take approval from the Authorities. The implementation of these
steps and strategic planning is done by the leaders of the firm. In many situations, the leaders
have to make sure that dignity needs to be saved even if there is a decline in sales. The leaders
act as the immediately responsible people in an emergency.
They have been appointed partially to solve complex situations so that there is no risk affecting
the company further. Evading the threat is their main task line up. They also take care of the
customer relations and seek for improvement in such areas.

Starbucks has also seen a rise in sales and the share growth increased by 15 percent and is
growing more slowly and steadily. With new progress and new advancements in operation and
employee engagement, the line of operation and better communication will ensure that there is a
definite growth in the company.

Several other factors are working restlessly to improve the entire process, right from packaging
and delivering the final good.

Kevin Johnson’s Leadership style


Johnson was one of the responsible people in the formation of Starbucks and made sure that
everything goes fine. He has not only served the financial sector but had also served the Prime
Minister. Giving a big responsibility to a person who has been so responsible is the greatest thing
that has been done. From saving the sales drop to saving dignity, he was always available for any
problems. Not only was this but he was also responsible for the fiscal dealings. All the while he
had been given the responsibility, he fulfilled each order or dusty that he was supposed to.

Employee management is a crucial role in any firm and in big firms, the role manager is
supposed to ensure that the employees are not getting down with their morals. But at times, there
are situations when there is no way out rather than presiding the employees. Everyone has once
or twice must have felt this. Not all experiences can be good. The balance of good and bad is
what we call life. The employees did not find it a good place to work. But, some employees
found the place to be suitable and termed as a working environment.

Some many opportunities and advantages are offered to the employees who work there. There is
also a grant for students to work full- time or part-time. The students get a lot of advantages and
perks. Most of them get their tuition fees covered under the Scholarship. Along with the
scholarship, they also get industry experience as an award from Starbucks. They moreover are
very much determined about the values of their customer. They make sure that the customer gets
the superior quality of goods and items.

Johnson and his strong brand towards the effective global leader
Kevin Johnson was very much business-minded from the very beginning. w\he had a clear aim
and passion for Business developments. This interest is evident from his academics. He did his
college in Business Administration. He not only developed the financial sector but also improved
the public sectors by working under different Prime Ministers. His development in new skills of
knowledge has helped him grow a lot more and made him acceptable to any company which
needs a financial advisor with. He proved that there is always a place for hardworking and
sincere people. In his interviews, he also claimed that there is a lot more scope for people who do
not quit under any situation.

After he was given the charge of Starbucks he was keenly interested in changing the face of the
company by putting new changes and implementing new laws. He decided to switch new
reserves because of which the company could give out more to outlets to the retailors. Starbucks
reached a new milestone and opened more than 1500 outlets all over the world. This boomed the
sales of the industry.

With this, the company and Johnson had also kept a close watch on the customer support and
ensured that the customers are happy with the quality and quantity being offered to the. Further,
they were asked to give out recommendations and suggestions so that they can improve
standards further.

Overall, the responsibilities given to the Advisor were abrupt but those responsibilities needed to
be solved by a professional only. The impossibilities were waiting for Johnson so that he can
simplify the tasks.

Recommendations of sustainability and competitive advantage


Having the current situation the recommendations that can be given to Starbucks is that of price.
The price that is being charged and the amount of food offered is mismatching. The product
quality is superior, undoubtedly. But people may not agree to higher prices. Even if they can,
middle-class people may not be attracted. Starbucks is often labeled as the “place for the rich”
Starbucks already has the advantage of being quite famous and having the opportunity to decline
any rivalry. There are no rivals because the firm is not letting others to form up a new business.
While the right to the expansion of business is very much important and is widely approached by
most of the people. They, unfortunately, cannot because of Starbuck's presence everywhere. It is
quite a good thing that the firm has become so big and leading Coffee outlet chain in the world.
Letting the new startups giving a fair chance will make sure that there is at least one firm
growing to arrive. There is no fun in the game without an opponent.

Customer relationship is the best thing that the firm has decided to maintain. If there is a good
source of customers into the business then, opening another 1500 outlets won’t be taking much
time.

As we have seen that certain employees do not feel like working in the atmosphere. Some
employees have left for certain issues that they were facing. Employee management is very
important in any firm and making sure that they are comfortable in the situation they are working
in. Starbucks needs to keep track of the employee’s mental wellbeing. In case the workload has
increased, it should be brought to the notice of the management and it will be suggested to hire
new employees who can take a share of the load. Having excessive pressure on the employees
will hurt their social life will ultimately be prey to depression.

They should be forced to go for a recreational activity of an interactive session held by the firm
itself. They should check that their employees are satisfied with the amount of remuneration
offered. It was seen that many complaints with the salary that they get and it entirely goes for the
rent and groceries. Other than that they get no money left to spend on other commodities.

Competitive salary should be offered to the employees working directly or indirectly under the
Starbucks badge. These are the considerations that can be granted by the firm so that the
efficiency and workforce are much more vigilant in their job roles.
Conclusion
To conclude with the topic it is a must say that Starbucks has made quite a lot of wealth and has
spread its wings to many nations and is making sure that they extend further and can achieve the
global potential of opening the highest number of outlets.

Starbucks has a natural advantage of being the most chosen brand whenever it is a special
moment. Having no rivals near is yet another Natural advantage that the firm has. But to some
extent, it is believed that the reason behind the failure of any new startup in this industry is the
fact that, the reach of Starbucks is everywhere and they put a lot more offers and discounts which
gets a bit difficult to provide by the new startups as they run on the minimal budget until the
business is stabilized.

Regarding the prices of the goods and products, the only suggestion will be to make sure that the
prices are being reduced to a bit or else people of the middle class may find it hard to utilize. The
aim should be to deliver the commodity for all the groups of people rather than focusing on a
particular group of people.

Employee management is seen to be on the worst side as many of the workers are complaining
regarding different things. Remuneration and mental wellbeing are the two most important things
that need to be sorted soon. Remember, without the employees, the company is nothing. Hiring
people who have proper qualifications and skills to complete the tasks assigned should be the
prime focus of the hiring team.

Many other factors play an important role in the success of Starbucks. Mostly it was the leaders
who made everything possible and shaped the pathway of Starbucks. Having a leadership role
and not being able to make a change in the operations of a firm calls in for a factor of
incapability. Hard work is the only key to drive out the trust and the thrust
