Instructional Objectives SWBAT:
 Summarize the information described in the songs
and repeat the ways they can stay safe at school in
a recording that they will submit on SeeSaw.
Content Specific Vocabulary App – an application downloaded by a user onto a mobile
device
Browser – a program used to view HTML documents
Hyperlink – a link from a file to another location or file
Icon – a symbol in a graphical user interface
SeeSaw – a platform for student engagement that inspires
students to do their best using creative tools to take
pictures, draw, record videos, and more
Upload – transfer data from one computer/application to
another

 Why Do People Wear Masks?
Instructional Procedures Greet students at the library doors.
 Have them sanitize their hands and then sit on
their assigned seat above a sit spot.
Introduce today’s lesson and activity.
 How to be Safe at School, another SeeSaw
activity.
 Have them go get IPads
 Have them log into SeeSaw
 Go through the directions and slides.
 Get out headphones
 Send them off to listen to “Why Do People Wear
Masks?” and “Wash Your Hands” with Baby
Shark.
 Walk around and help them record themselves.
End Class.
 Log out of SeeSaw.
 Return IPads.
 Line up to leave.
Formative Assessment Send in a recording listing off ways to stay safe at school.
(Washing hands, wearing masks, keeping our distance,
etc.)
Assignment Watch the two videos/listen to the songs about how to
stay safe at school and record a response listing off a few
of the ways mentioned.
Accommodations Extra check-ins with Conner and Mason (1st Grade)
