Post Lesson Reflection

1. To what extent were lesson objectives achieved? (Utilize assessment data to justify
your level of achievement)
After looking at everyone’s exit tickets and comparing them to the learning target and
pre-assessment questions, I do think learning was achieved. Many students hadn’t
heard of any of the art movements before, and I was so thrilled to see so many of
them taking home new knowledge. Others had some familiarity to the movements
according to my pre-assessment questions, but learned more in depth and specific
ways to identify the key components of the movements.

2. What changes, omissions, or additions to the lesson would you make if you were to
teach again?
I would like to have a hand out that has the bullet points for the main themes of each
movement so that when the students are using the Zoom In strategy to identify the
art movement, they can have a reference. I also would have liked to have more
vocabulary clearly defined as a means to incorporate English learning into my lesson.

3. What do you envision for the next lesson? (Continued practice, reteach content, etc.)

The next lesson would be more student focused, in which they are able to decide
which movement they enjoy and use it as a reference for their own art making.
