    Problem 1
    A FHSS system uses M-FSK. The data to be transmitted and the PN sequence are given
    below. If the data rate is 3 Kbps and the Baud Rate is 1Ksymb/s; and the PN sequence bit
    rate is 2 Kbps with a hop occurring every 2 bits.

    a) What is the duration of a single bit?

    b) What is the duration of a single symbol?

    c) What type of MFSK is being used (value of M)?


    Problem 2
    Consider the waveform shown in figure below.

    a) Find an 8-Level PCM communication system?


    b) Find The PCM code? and how many bits are needed to achieve a certain level of
    the code?

    c) Write the stream to be transmitted.

    d) Write the stream to be transmitted using odd parity.

    e) Find a Frame Check Sequence (FCS), of 7 bits, and write the stream that is to be
    transmitted, assuming P = 10011001 (use modulo 2 arithmetic).
