Referring to page 30 line 50 “all hail, Macbeth! That shalt be king hereafter” and Page 32 line 68
“thou shalt get kings, though thou be none: so all hail, Macbeth and Banquo”. Macbeth and
Banquo will be kings
Q5: Do you think that the witches’ predications are clear? Explain your answer.

Q6: Describe the difference between Macbeth’s and Banquo’s reactions to the witches’
prediction:
The difference between Macbeths reaction and Banquo’s is that Banquo reacted to the witches as
if the three of them are no good and there like the devil, luring and tricking Macbeth and him
into a fatal trap. As for Macbeth, he cant reach to a certain conclusion,whether the witches are
good or evil
Q7: What is Banquo warning Macbeth of? [This is a point that is of major importance in the
play. Later, well see if Macbeth heeds the warning or not, and we’ll find out the consequences of
ignoring this wise advice].
In Act 1 Scene 3 of the play 'Macbeth', Banquo tries to warn Macbeth that the witches'
predictions might lead to evil. Macbeth and Banquo are comrades in arms and are full of the
jubilance of winning the battle together Yet now the witches look set to divide them.

Thane of Cawdor In William Shakespeare's play Macbeth was captured and executed for treason
against King Duncan.
Q9- Lines 12-14: Duncan’s trust of Macbeth leads to his death. Explain how
Lady Macbeth greatly influences her husband to kill King Duncan. Although the witches had
planted a seed in Macbeth, he had changed his mind on killing King Duncan. Macbeth tells his
wife that they will proceed no further in murdering King Duncan. since Duncan trusts Macbeth
so well, he invites him to the palace, where he is eventually killed there.

Macbeths answers in the following lines 22-24 are not sincere as he’s bluffing and he doesn’t
mean anything of what he said. Macbeth is planning to play a filthy game, game of thrones.

As Macbeth enters, he refers as “ his dearest love” and she says when Macbeth enters he refers to
her as “his dearest love”. Line 61-62, she compared his face to a book, as he can reveal many
things from his facial expressions.

Lady Macbeth wants to scold Macbeth and eliminate everything which is stopping him from
reaching for the crown and claiming his 'rightful' position as King. The 'golden round' being the
crown.

Q15- What sort of resolve does L.M. make? [Refer to the last 3 words on page 46 and lines 45 on
page 48] whose assistance does she ask for?
She asks for the three witches to make her remorseless, where no pricking’s conscience to alter
her foul plans.

L.M allied herself with her husband, Macbeth.
