SWOT analysis of The Snoozy Inn.


Strengths:
 Attractive location- The hotel (Snoozy Inn) is located in an attractive location. That’s
why travelers like it so much.
 Low price- The rent of the hotel is much lower. For this reason all classes of travelers
easily choose it for staying.
 Big rooms- The hotel rooms are very big. These rooms are especially suitable for those
who travel with family.
 Member of local tourist committee- The owner of the hotel is a member of local tourist
committee. If he wants he can easily motivate the tourists for visiting his hotel.
 Future oriented- The owner acknowledges that he has a problem and he is trying to
solve it quickly.

Weakness:
 No television- Television plays an important role in today’s world. This television known
as a means of entertainment and is not available in the hotel room. For this, travelers may
not like it.
 No separate restaurant service- This hotel does not have its own restaurant service. Due
to their customers have to go to the nearby restaurant to eat.
 Very little advertising- The owner of the restaurant does very little advertising. Due to
this the outside travelers know very little about this hotel and don’t show their interest.
 Only local advertising- The owner of this hotel only does local advertisement. For this
reason the outside visitors do not about their services.
 Low service price- Most of the time when customers has to spend for consume
something then they think that the value of this thing is less. They think the quality of the
services may not be so good.

Opportunities:
 Installing television- If the hotel owner is interested to installing television in every
room of the hotel, it may increase the number of their customers.
 Increasing advertisement- If the hotel owner trying to increase their advertisement than
more people will know about the hotel. As a result, people will be interested.
 Restaurant facilities- As there are huge open place, the owner can launch restaurant
service easily. If the hotel has their own restaurant then their customers will no longer
have to go to outside restaurant.
 Attend tourist group meeting- As the owner of the hotel is a member of local tourist
committee, if he attends every meeting of the committee, he can inform everyone about
this hotel service.
 Increase the rate being charged- If the owner of this hotel increases the rate being
charged then the customers will have a better idea. They think that as the price is high,
their service may be better than the others.

Threats:
 Potential threat if other properties begin cutting rates.
 Mr. Smith resort lack of 50% year round but now a days the occupancy is 68% in a year.
 It will be a problem if other properties begin big promotional campaigns.
 There may be build more budget hotel near by the Snoozy Inn.
 Other hotels are focus on advertising and spend more than the Mr. Smith.
