Rationale

In this task I will write an article about the racism in the school with different

examples and testimonies of the topic, to raise awareness in this problem. In

my point of view is more appropriate to do an article because in this I can

explain better the topic and I can organize the information more easily and it is

easier to read and to understand this type of text than others.

The purpose of this article is to inform to the community about this problem in

the different schools with different examples in the real life and the solutions to

this cases:

Firstly with some statistics given by BBC about the cases of school bullying

reported in the UK principally in Birmingham that reports the high number of

cases of bullying and in this source we can see in what moment the cases

decrease in numbers.

Secondly with the next two sources we can see cases of school racism in UK

and the reactions of the victims for example the second case with the suicide of

the girl to see how bad is to do the racism in the school.

  What is the school racism?

Race means being a part of a group of people who are identified by their race of

color, etc.

But the race discrimination is illegal in any school to discriminate someone

because of race.

 Numbers of incidents

Nearly 88000 racist incidents were recorded in Britain’s schools between 2007

and 2011 was found by the BBC, principally in Birmingham, that records the

highest number of incidents at 5752.

Between2003 and 2010 many areas have an increase of 40%, and this is good

because the people and authorities have the information of this cases and they

can do things to prevent that.

But between the years 2010 and 2011 the schools with the new law now have

no duty to record an report the data and the number of cases were reduce to

18996 and this is bad because if this cases increase since 2007 and 2010 and

then reduce is no comfortable because more cases are not reported to the

authority and more children don´t have fair with this problem because the

authorities not have any idea of this problem and children don´t have protection

to stop that problem.

 This are two examples of child abuse and what this cause in children

o Firstly Inaya is the daughter of Rehema, and Inaya was bullied by their

classmates specially a group of girls because Inaya come from other

country and this girls things she is no cool and these girls decide to bully
 Inaya, and this is bad because they cannot judge Inaya by their origins and

the country of she from and this is a type of racism.

o Secondly is a case of a Young girl with only 14 years old who committed a

suicide because her partners race her with the color of their skin and her

appearance, this group of guys were reported to the police.

With this example we can see the racism are increase in the UK and we can

stop that with different actions, the school racism is too bad because the

teenagers are more sensitive if this time of the life and the racism can cause

the suicide like the girl of the example. We need to finish that and change our

from of treatment other people.
