Vocabulary:

1. Technical writing: is a type of writing where the author is writing about a particular subject
that requires direction, instruction, or explanation.
Technical writing is used for technical documentation.

2. Outline: a general description or plan giving the essential features of something but not
the detail.
Organized your essay by writing an outline to organize the ideas.

3. Utilitarian: designed to be useful or practical rather than attractive.


The farm is rather utilitarian building set just beyond another group of trees.

4. Memo: brief message or report.


She dictated a memo to her secretary.

5. Trip report: are a common part of organizational communication.


I need to do a trip report from the conference tomorrow.

6. Cover letter: a letter sent with and explaining the contents of other documents or a parcel
of goods.
A cover letter is not an autobiography.

7. Diamon pattern: is a technical analysis pattern that often occurs at, or near, marten tops
and can signal a revel.
You need to use the diamond pattern to make a good technical writing.

8. Technical reading: is a strategy you can use to obtain a great amount of information in
short time from textbooks, professional journals, and other technical materials.
Using technical reading, you can ask yourself the question the author is trying to ask.

9. Parallel grammatical form: is using the same pattern of words to show that two or more
ideas have the same level of importance.
If you use the same pattern of words, you most use the parallel grammatical form.

10. Fonts: is a set of printable or displayable text characters in specific style and size.
I preferred to use the font Times New Roman in my projects.

11. Progress report: a document that explains in detail how you far you’ve gone towards the
completion of a project.
I filed a progress report based on the information you gave me on the telephone from the
documentary of The Titanic.
12. Agroecological: relating to the application of ecological principles to agricultural systems
and practices.
Agroecological farms helps in the conservation of the Planet.

13. GMO: organism whose genome has been engineered in the laboratory in order to favors
the expression of desired physiological traits or the generation of desired biological
products.
GMO seeds germinate faster, and the fruit is larger.

14. Monsanto company: is a leading global supplier of herbicides and seeds.


The Monsanto company has its own genetically modified seeds.

15. Glyphosate: is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide and crop desiccant.


Glyphosate affects the leaves mainly, then causes the total death of the plant.
