Instructional Objectives SWBAT: Select items from the library that fit the scavenger hunt descriptions and compile photos of those items to turn in for completion Content Specific Vocabulary App – an application downloaded by a user onto a mobile device SeeSaw – a platform for student engagement that inspires students to do their best using creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos, and more Upload – transfer data from one computer/application to another Materials/Resources/Equipment IPads Promethean Board Camera App Gallery App Hand Sanitizer Cleaning wipes/spray Stickers for Completion Instructional Procedures Greet students at the library doors. Have them sanitize their hands and then sit in their assigned seat above a sit spot. Megan Meyer Elementary Lesson Plan Introduce today’s lesson and activity. SeeSaw Scavenger Hunt Quick review on how to handle the IPads Show them how to add a picture as a response using Perry Library version Pull up their scavenger hunt list on the board. Send them off to searching and taking pictures. Assist students as they work. End class. Have students finish up and log off SeeSaw. Have them pile their IPads on the desk like last time. Send them out the door with a squirt of hand sanitizer. Formative Assessment Kindergarten students have added a response that includes 5 pictures that meet the descriptions on the Scavenger Hunt list. First Grade students have added a response that includes 7 pictures that meet the descriptions on the Scavenger Hunt list. Second Grade students have added a response that includes 10 pictures that meet descriptions on the Scavenger Hunt list. Assignment Go around the library and take pictures that fit the various categories given on the Promethean Board. Accommodations Students that need some extra attention – Some extra check-ins with Conner and Mason to make sure they’re staying on task and progressing. Student who is Hard of Hearing – Check-in with Owen to make sure he hears me alright and understands the directions.
