After conducting
extensive research
through reviewing my
most purposeful work
from this class and
previous courses, I
have ten life themes
Theme 4: and supportive of others. This also includes being sympathetic and
forgiving(BFP).
• According to my Personal Style Inventory results, I am considered a
Society highest in the social area which includes solving problems through
empathy and helping others to succeed(SCA).
• After my interview with my husband, I recognized that I truly love other
humans very deeply, we spoke about an experience from when I was a
child. Growing up in Las Vegas, there were many homeless people that
would stand at stoplights. I remember crying because my heart was
aching for the person standing there. My parents recognized the pain I
was in, and helped to make the situation better by offering to buy the
man some food. I instantly felt better, although the ache and empathy
were still there(ISO).
• I value others lives and truly want the best for others(VDPV).
Theme Statement: I find value and strength through having a positive mindset
and attitude.
• “Even when situations are difficult, I try my best to work through the tough
times by overcoming them using positivity”(3Qs).
• “I like situations where I feel comfortable and confident in myself, but I have
Theme 5:
come to understand the importance of stepping out of that comfort zone and
developing skills that wouldn’t have come otherwise”(LSPN).
• Speaking with my husband, Justin, I realize that a current situation that I find
Inner myself in with my work, is a very negative and toxic environment. He recognized
me for the strength that I have had in remaining positive and looking at this
situation as a learning and growing opportunity(ISO).
Harmony • “High School not only brought educational challenges, it also provided
opportunities for me to physically and mentally grow”(LSPN).
• The life quote I live by is, “There is no growth in the comfort zone, and there is
no comfort in the growth zone”(LSPN).
• I like to be happy and I prefer to take on difficult situations with a positive
mindset(LWA).
Theme Statement: I like setting an example and being a peacemaker while
interacting with others.
•“As a young child, I was obedient and considered to be the “peacemaker”
among my siblings. I have always been extremely easy going, even as a
child until now into my adult years” (LSPN).
•I take pride and enjoy my role as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks. It allows
me to set an example and be there for others(IE).
Theme 6: •I will typically sit back and observe and interfere in a peaceful way when
conflict arises(LWA).
Quality •I am more of a perceiver than a judger according to the PSI assessment.
Relationships This means I can typically see all sides of the issue, which allows me to help
others to stay calm and become open to the other side(PSI).
•Being the oldest, my younger siblings looked to me for help and advice
throughout their lives. This allowed me to set a good example for
them(LSPN).
•I scored highest in the social category which includes being a leader and
helping others to grow and develop, all while I do the same(SCA).
Theme 7: Stability
Theme Statement: I find peace through consistency and stability.
Theme 8: Responsibility & Accountability
Theme Statement: Accountability and dependability are qualities I value most in
other people.
Theme 9: Financial Gain
Theme Statement: I am focused on making financial decisions that will create
financial fulfillment.
Theme 10: Working With Others
Theme Statement: I enjoy supporting others, especially in a team environment.
“I view my life as one that is dedicated to
growth, within myself and helping others to do
the same; I will be a light and example of
positivity through being a role model.”
My Personal
Vision
Statement Reflection: I really pondered what I wanted my
personal vision statement to be and mean. I
wanted it to contain powerful, yet simple words.
I looked through all my themes and wanted to
include the most important themes for my life.
I am dedicated to being of service to others through
teaching, leading, and uplifting those within my
reach, I will stand true to who I am by being
dependable and responsible.
My Personal
Mission
Statement
Reflection: I have always felt that my personal
mission statement is one that is focused on others. I
truly am someone who thrives in environments
where I can help influence others for good. This was
easy for me to produce, since this is something that I
have been focused on living for so long.
Conclusion
I enjoyed creating this project. I found it helpful to have the opportunity to
analyze and utilize previous work from all the courses I have taken. This also gave
me the chance to learn more about myself personally and professionally. I have
found more strengths along with more weaknesses that I will continue
improving and developing to help me to become the leader I need to be.
