Student with hearing loss/ hearing impaired
During all circle time or whole group instruction I would make sure the student is close to instruction. I will make sure to get the students attention first before I
begin speaking. I will provide visual cues, pictures, gestures, or signs when possible or as needed. I will make sure they can see my face when I am speaking. I
will repeat directions and check for understanding when possible. I will ask student to repeat the directoions that were given to them. I will repeat what other
students have said so they don’t miss being involved in discussion time. I will use all technology avaible to me. I will let related services, nurse or parent know if I
suspect a problem with hearing aides.
