the examination. T
II. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) refers to the inculcation, assimilation
and acquisition of knowledge, skills, proficiency and ethical and moral values, before
the initial registration of a professional that raise and enhance the professional’s
technical skills and competence. F

I. TECHNICAL COMPETENCE – 30 units (Area B) includes Standards Applicable to


Professional Practice (18 units), Laws, Rules & Regulations affecting Professional
Practice (6 units) and Environment of the Practice (6 units). F
II. PROFESSIONAL VALUES, ETHICS & ATTITUDES (5 units) (Area A) includes
Social Responsibility Principles and interventions. F

I. A permanent exempt registered professional shall be allowed to renew his/her


License without complying with the CPD requirements upon his/her accomplishment
and submission of the necessary papers and upon payment of the annual
registration fee for three (3) years for as long as he/she continues to be out of the
country. T
II. Under PRC Resolution 2019-1146 (Amending the IRR of CPD Act of 2016),
professionals working overseas are not covered by the CPD requirements. T

I. The CPD program shall provide and ensure the continuous education of a registered
professional with the latest trends in the profession brought about by modernization

Examinations shall be disqualified from taking another set of examinations unless

completed at least twenty-four (24) units of subject given in the licensure

I. A Professional Identification Card bearing the registration number, date of issuance,


expiry date, duly signed by the chairperson of the Commission, shall likewise be
issued to every registrant renewable every three (3) years. T
II. Meaningful experiences needed for CPAs in Academe/Education shall include
teaching for at least two (2) trimesters or three (3) semesters subjects in either
financial accounting, business law and tax, auditing problems, auditing theory,
financial management and management services. F

I. If the Board finds experience inadequate to the minimum requirements for the public
practice of accountancy in the course of its evaluation of his/her application for
accreditation to practice public accountancy, the registrant shall be encouraged to
make up such inadequacy from competent sources. F
