The first engineering college started exclusively for women in the world, the Periyar
Maniammai College of Technology for women, Vallam, Thanjavur, has been granted the
status of University by Government of India/ MHRD on the recommendation of the
University Grants Commission, New Delhi.

The college was started with the approval of Government of Tamil Nadu and All India
Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliation to Bharathidasan University,
Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu.

Later, it started functioning under affiliation to Anna University, Chennai . The college has
made several landmark achievements continually in the field of Technical Education.
Considering its academic excellence in teaching, research, and extensions programmes,
the Government of India/MHRD has conferred the Status of University on the College

 IIMA - How to Apply
Application form attached to the prospectus must be filled up in Capital Letters. A
photocopy of the relevant certificates should be attached to the application form at the
time of admission. Students should mention the name of the Elective selected for study in
the space provided in the application form. Application for admission along with the
prescribed fee by DD drawn in favor of Institute of Innovative Management Approach
payable at Meerut should reach the institute before the last date given in the application
form. A covering letter mentioning the purpose of remittance of any fees should
accompany the DD. Furnish correct address with PIN code to ensure proper delivery of
letters. Change of address must be intimated to the institute without delay. The necessary
fee must be paid along with the application form for consideration of the admission. The
Student should write on the reverse side of the DD his/her name and the name of the study
they propose to join.

Regular contact studies are available on line to help the students clear their doubts. The
queries would be answered by our eminent faculty to the utmost satisfaction of the
students. Should there be any doubts still remaining, the students are welcome to get
back for further clarifications.

IIMA - Despatch of Study Material

The institute will start dispatching study materials semester-wise within 07 days after the
enrollment of the student. Students who are in the arrears of the payment will not be
eligible to get the study materials in time. Any student who does not receive the study
material must contact the institute at the earliest.
Note :
Students opting for installment scheme will pay the due amount on or before the
stipulated date. The students with outstanding dues will not be eligible to get the
study materials or appear for the examination.

The medium of study, instructions and examination is English

IIMA - Examination Grades

The passing diploma with grades and the marks list will be sent to the student after they
have obtained an overall pass in the examination:

Minimum marks for passing in each paper : 45%

Minimum pass for overall pass(aggregate) : 50%
First class: : 60%
Distinction: : 75%

IIMA - Examination & Examination Methods

IIMA offers three modes of examinations to choose from :-

1.By Post: The question paper will be sent by post and the answer sheets have to be sent to
the institute within a specific time period.

2.On Line: The question paper will be sent by e-mail and the answers/ solutions have to be e-
mailed to the institute within a specific time period.

3.Centre: Normally the examinations are held at Delhi/and/or/Meerut Centres provided a

particular number of students opt for this mode of examination.

IIMA - Examination Fee

An examination fee of Rs. 250/- for each paper has to be remitted, by DD drawn in favor of
Institute of Innovative Management Approach payable at Meerut when intimated.
Students who fail in a paper(s) must appear for the failed paper(s), in the subsequent
examination by remitting an amount of Rs. 250/- for each paper.

IIMA - Examination Result

Examination results will be published within 45 days from the last examination's date.

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. The Management of the Institute reserves the right to accept or reject an application
without assigning any reason thereof.
2. Allotment of examination center at Delhi will be at the discretion of the Management
based an a particular no. of students opting for the same. However Meerut center will always
be open for examination.
3. The necessary fee by DD drawn in favor of Institute of Innovative Management
Approach payable at Meerut will have to be sent along with the filled up application form.
4. The decision of refunds of any nature will rest with the Management. However if an
application is rejected for admission, full fee will be refunded.
5. The Institute reserves the right not to declare result of the semester examination until a
student submits the certificate of clearance of eligibility.
6. All disputes are subject to the jurisdictional limit of Meerut Civil Court.
