Proudly, I am Generation Z

I, as being born in 2001, relate myself to Generation Z. I could say that we are true digital natives,
exposed to the internet, social networks, and mobile systems from the earliest youth. That made us
exceptionally comfortable with collecting and cross-referencing numerous sources of information and
coordinating virtual and offline encounters, which sometimes causes us to be stereotyped as tech-addicted
and anti-social individuals, which is completely wrong.

My generation believes profoundly in The Power of Truth. We value individual expression and abstain
from labels. This search for authenticity generates greater freedom of expression and greater openness to
understanding different kinds of people. It may explain such a neutral or rather a supportive approach to
anyone's way of being, religion, sexual orientation, or even decriminalization of marijuana.
Gen Zers keenly count on the efficacy of dialogue to solve conflicts and improve the world. Also,
we make decisions and relate to education in an exceedingly analytical and down to earth way. In contrast,
the previous generation, the millennials, focuses on the self, its members being more idealistic, more
confrontational, and less willing to accept diverse points of view.
Gen Z also differentiates itself by taking social issues very seriously, which is likely due to having
such a diverse and wide-ranging connection to other people through the Internet. This excessive empathy
and caring for strangers caused us to be characterized as "Social Justice Warriors", sadly, sometimes in a
bad way

I, myself am sincerely happy to be a part of this diverse and unique generation, which
stands for freedom and the possibility of one to choose who/what he or she really wants to be. This
generation feels comfortable not having only one way to be itself, and you are less likely to be judged
according to any canons of modern criticism.
