Education: Teachers and Education were in the spotlight because schools had been under the
sway of progressive education for a long time. Americanization, Democratization,
Professionalization were the new focus for schools.
Curriculum: The U.S. students were taught less Science, Math, and Foreign languages because
of the Sputnik impact
