IF YOU ARE GOING ABROAD, WHAT POSSIBLY ARE THE THREE TOPMOST
REASONS THAT YOU ARE LEAVING THE COUNTRY? WHY? DO YOU NOT FIND IT
IN THE PHILIPPINES?

FIRST REASON IS TO GET OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE AND THAT IS MY

MOTHERLAND PHILIPPINES:

As young people most of us have a pretty established comfort zone. At

home with mom and dad, in a community that has known you for probably
a good part of your life. You have your established, friends, activities,
hangouts and possibly jobs. We become comfortable in these daily roles
and the idea of breaking out them can be scary and uncomfortable.

The problem is, you learn the most in uncomfortable, unfamiliar

situations. In our daily routines, you know how to act and respond to
people and your surroundings. Being in a new place, with different
people, who hold different values and go about life differently (or not so
differently you may find) strips all that familiarity away.

It can be scary, but once you figure out that you can connect with people
despite differences, and you can navigate foreign environments, you
become a smarter, more competent individual. Embrace the discomfort.
Search for it, because it is helping you grow.
SECOND REASON WOULD BE TO BECOME INDEPENDENT BY MYSELF:
Learn to Be Independent
Taking a solo trip overseas can sound terrifying for those who have
spent their lives by the side of parents, best friends or a significant other
which is exactly why you should take a solo trip, now.

Throwing yourself into a different country or culture encourages you to

think on your feet, and is super empowering! Nothing builds confidence
like learning to navigate on your own and making your own decisions
overseas, whether they be what attractions to explore during the day or
where to eat dinner.

Having no one else to rely on and no one else relying on you is strangely
freeing and such an awesome experience in your adult years.
When you’ve got no one to rely on but yourself, your independence has a
chance to shine. Even if you’re not travelling by yourself, exploring new
cultures will make you a lot more independent.

You may even just surprise yourself. With no one to hold your hand or
tell you how to do things, you’ll just have to figure it out for yourself. The
feeling when you finally master Japan’s rail system all on your own is
pretty amazing.
THIRD REASON IS NUMEROUS OPPORTUNITIES TO HAVE GLOBAL CONNECTION:

You Can Adapt to Globalization

Whether you like it or not, with the internet and social media, we are
globalizing quickly. It is not unlikely that you would end up with a job that
has you travel for business or take part in conference calls with
international business partners. In our globalizing world it is important to
be culturally sensitive and it can’t hurt to know a foreign language.

In the business world, having lived abroad can give you a competitive
edge. Use the confidence and cultural sensitivity that traveling helps you
develop and help it make you successful.

Getting away from home gives you the opportunity to reflect on your life.
You have the needed time and space to let your mind wander and take
stock. Traveling is one of the best ways to learn more about yourself.
Every day traveling brings a new set of issues and opportunities.

Immersing yourself into a completely different culture may just be the

best part about travelling. It helps us realize that despite our differences,
we connect with others across the globe. These experiences also help
you to be more open-minded and tolerant. When you’re in a new culture,
you learn to see things you may have always known to be true from
different points of view. This broadens your perspective and helps you to
be more knowledgeable in the decisions you make and the actions you
take.
WHY I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND THE THINGS I WANT IN MY HOME LAND PHILIPPINES:
Low-Quality Education
I am not turning my country down, but we need to state the fact that the
Philippines is a bit left-behind in terms of EDUCATION. Problems in the
Philippines are all connected.

Because of poverty, not all children can go to school because they cant
afford it. So hows the kids education? They will grow up without learning
anything?

Rapid Growing Population

Because of the “RAPID GROWING POP.”, you can see many kids or adults
living in the streets. Because of the RGP, some families cannot afford the
things their children needs. Sometimes, because of poverty, parents will
just abandon their children, leave them in the streets, until the kid dies
because of malnourishment. Yes, there are so many rich people in the
Philippines, but I think poor families is 10 times bigger.

Pollution
Pollution is also one of the problems in the Philippines. Too much vehicles,
too much buildings. Trees are fewer now, compared before. Some people
from the middle-class or first class can afford cars right?? We use cars
for transportation, but its prettier if we use ecofriendly vehicles such as
bicycles. That is all I can say.
