ANALYZING SOCIAL STRATISFACTIONS

Tom Buchanan and Daisy Buchanan manipulating the story of the death of Myrtle
making Jay Gatsby the suspect of the crime instead of Daisy that cost the lives of
both Jay Gatsby and Wilson. After everything that happened, they were able to live
normally as if they were not there when it happened.

The social stratisfaction of an individual matters in order to do things for oneself even
if it is able to affect others in negative ways. Tom Buchanan was able to manipulate
the situation by blaming Jay Gatsby as it was car without knowing that it was Daisy
who was driving the car. This resulted to Wilson believing him as he was a high class
personality and Wilson killed Jay Gatsby thinking he got his revenge and killed
himself afterwards. Then, with the use of their connections and wealth, Tom and Daisy
transferred to another place, still with their money as if they were not a part and the
real suspects of the crime that just happened.

Myrtle getting the jewelry and dog she wanted from Tom Buchanan as she is his
mistress.

An individual's social status affects people's behavior. Because of wanting to be in a

certain social class, some people do anything to achieve it. In the case of Myrtle,
acting as a person of high class was her way to reach the class she dreams to have.
She looks down on people of lower class as if she isn't one. Her dream of reaching
the top changed the way she talks and dresses up. She even became the mistress of a
famous personality, Tom Buchanan to be able to have the things of value she always
dreams to have like jewelry, a place to stay in and the dog she asked Tom to buy for
her.

Jay Gatsby explaining to Nick all the things he went through to become rich for
the love of his life, Daisy.

A person's social stratification affects people's relationship. People tend to have the
understanding that people of the same class are the people that are
perfectly match. In the movie, the relationship of Gatsby and Daisy was
almost perfect except for the fact that Daisy was among the rich while
Gatsby was the total opposite. This caused a toll in their relationship. After the
war, Gatsby had to do something to be the perfect match for Daisy. He became
a swindler and got rich because of the money they got from the people they
deceived. He did all of this to be
right one for Daisy and allow
their relationship to work.
