Subject: Child Labor.

Sir,
I am writing this letter to you to bring the attention of people to an issue which has haunted our nation for
a long while. Child labor is one of the recurring concerns that is constantly sidelined. Several children
suffer from malnourishment and deprived of their childhood. They are introduced to the most discernibly
awful sorts of child labor, for instance, work in risky circumstances, servitude, or distinctive kinds of
obliged work, unlawful activities.
Children are forced to work for their survival and that of their families depend on it, and in many cases
because unscrupulous adults take advantage of their vulnerability. It is also due to inadequacies and
weaknesses in national educational systems. It is deeply ingrained in cultural and social attitudes and
traditions.
Pakistan is suffering from extremely tender socio-economic and political chaos there are many reasons
why share of child labor is increasing such as poverty, social attitudes and low literacy rate, worst
economic crisis, symmetry of natural disaster, and large increase of unemployment most recent data
available is from 1996 where a survey was conducted that showed that there are 3.3 million children
including 73% boys and 27% girls below the age of 14 are bound to child labor in Pakistan who are
victims of child labor. Human right commission Pakistan estimated that there are 10 million underage
children linked to labor in Pakistan.
There are proper laws formed in Pakistan on the issue of child labor for instance, According to Article
11(3): No child below the age of 14 years shall be engaged in any factory or mine or any other hazardous
employment. As per another legislation Article 25(A) states that the state shall provide free and
compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years in such manner as determined by
law.
So, I humbly request to the PM Of Pakistan to save the children form laboring because they are the
upcoming future of our country. Hereby I suggest some steps for the control on the issue, not necessarily
in this order:

 Increased family incomes.

 Education - that helps children learn skills that will help them earn a living.
 Social services - that help children and families survive crises, such as disease, or loss of home
and shelter.
 Rules and Regulations- The already made laws and constitutions should be acted upon.
I hope this will create awareness among everyone who read this to the awful thing that is child labor and I
believe that you will take measures to stop it.
Sincerely,
XYZ.
