Thanks a lot for your email. I must also thank Mr. Amitabh for facilitating this
interaction.
Sir, our offices are barely 200 meters, as crow flies. As an employee, I wrote 'N'
number of emails/ letters to you, the Director. Absolute NIL response.
DEAR ALL, please look at irony of this situation when an employee’s call to his OWN
Director had to be routed all the way through Lucknow. That, in the nut shell, sums
up the ground reality at IIMA. Dear “Members BoG”, please ponder on implications of
this. Look at the state of debased polity at an institute that you ‘govern’.
What Mr. Amitabh has raised is an issue of fundamental right of any citizen of India
to communicate with Director IIMA, who undeniably is a PUBLIC authority. Issue has
got nothing to do with the kind of a person/employee “Ketan” may be. Let “Ketan” be
the worst criminal of this nation. So what? He is NOT the issue. Nor is it an issue
of your illustrious academic background.
In the audio record which is circulated to Members of BoG, your secretary AND
officer-on-duty are repeatedly saying that due to your instructions they do NOT and
would NOT acknowledge receipt of any communication. Nor would they make any entry in
inward register in presence of the citizen. This is blasphemous.
I repeat, instant issue in email of Mr. Amitabh is, your standing instruction to your
office staff to deny acknowledgment receipt to one and ALL. Please respond.
I will separately respond to the issue of there being an adverse remark against me by
Hon. IC Mrs. Dixit.
Thanks.

Dear Amitabh:
I sincerely wish you had ascertained the facts before accepting the accusations
against the Director/Dean of IIMA and IIMA and giving it currency. I would not
at the moment like to say anything on the matter, except attaching the order issued
by the information commissioner in April 2010 on Mr. Ketan Bhat's filings against
the Institute. More specifically, I would draw your attention to point no. 10 in
the order.
I also understand that you have circulated a similar communication to IIT Kanpur
alum groups. That is indeed unfortunate. I am proud of being an alum of two great
institutions - IITK and IIMA. I would not do anything that is even remotely
inimical
to rights of an individual to be treated fairly by an organization.
Sincerely,
Samir Barua
