Friends,

I present before you a very serious matter pertaining to IIM Ahmedabad presented to
me by Sri Ketan Bhatt, Computer Professional, Computer Center of IIMA (Phone-M :
+91-9824000963, Email ketan.bhatt@iitbombay.org, ketan.p.bhatt@gmail.com). I had
interactions with him even before and he had send me many documents through which he
wanted to show some kind of partisan and discriminatory stand being taken by the
Director of IIMA and some other faculty/ staff members. I would not like to comment
on that because one can never be too sure about facts when getting it from one side
and where the full facts are not known.

But when yesterday he phoned me again and told something which I find not only
damaging to him but also against the basic rules of functioning of any Government-
backed Institution (autonomous or otherwise) that I thought I must raise this issue
in all possible manners so that injustice to this extent is immediately stopped.

To quote a few relevant portions of the long mail Sri Bhatt has sent me-
1. Since many months, I am forced to use SpeedPost to write to my own Dean/Director.
They do NOT reply to any of my letters/ emails.
2. The letter to Director, IIMA which was refused by his staff is attached. 9 minute
audio record of my visit to Director's office is also attached.
3. Director and Dean have issued instructions to their staff NOT to acknowledge
receipt of my letters
4. Yesterday (03-Aug) I took a day off specifically for writing attached letter
(“100803 Ketan 2 Director.pdf”) to Director. When I went to submit my letter and
requested acknowledgement receipt on second copy, staff refused to comply because of
standing instructions from Director himself. They even refused to make entry into
‘inward register diary’ because Director ‘expects’ employees to leave their
communications on ‘personal faith’ on his office staff.
5. Ironically, whenever Dean/ Director send me letters, their staff invariably take
care to procure my signed acknowledgement for their record. Morals? Ethics??
Propriety???

I am sure all of you will agree that if these facts are true then this is blatantly
wrong and call be called “illegal” as well. This is particularly relevant in a case
where Sri Bhatt is openly making accusations against the Director and others.
As the saying goes- “Caesar's wife must be above suspicion.”.
Thus without commenting on the rest of the matter, I would sincerely request all of
you to kindly look into the matter and help ending this anomalous situation. I shall
keep pursuing the matter as much as I can.
